There seems to be some confusion for newer members on how to use the YouTube tags to embed YouTube videos into posts, so here's how you do it.
The format for our YouTube tags is this:
Code:
[youtube]<video ID>[/youtube]
A YouTube URL usually looks something like this:
youtube.com/watch?v=
dQw4w9WgXcQThe bold part is called the video ID. This is what you need to place between the YouTube tags, not the URL itself.
In this example, the tags would look something like this:
Code:
[youtube]dQw4w9WgXcQ[/youtube]
It's really easy when you get used to it. If anything comes after the Video ID part of the URL, it usually has an & before it, allowing you to identify what part of it is the actual Video ID and what isn't.
