FREEMAN'S MIND: EPISODE 45

Recommended Posts

I have just finished watching the episode and creating subtitles for it. Damn, Ross, are you trying to kill me? The singing and then the speaking really fast? Augh! ;)

I have re-uploaded the revised subtitle file (I had a different interpretation of the lyrics and I was guessing at a lot of the new verse but I used Ross's official wording up there for the file). Here's a link.

If anyone watched the stream, thanks. Otherwise, enjoy the file! :)

That song was awesome, I dunno why you needed to warn us beforehand.

I liked when you went into Valley Girl/Guy mode, though I think it could have been shortened by a couple of seconds.

I guess the Apaches, Abrams, and Bradleys have that Command & Conquer-type armor that can be defeated by throwing enough gunfire at them.

And yeah, glad to see the episode is back and glad to see people on TGWTG who are new to this like it.

My current guess on the Freeman's-mind-related-project is that it's a reimagining of the G-Man scene at the end of Half-Life 1 wherein Gordon and the G-Man carry on a two-way conversation, to act as the eventual finale for the first "season", so-to-speak, of Freeman's Mind.

It could also just as easily be *literally anything else*.

Hah. Maybe they have the same voice and just spend about five minutes screaming at each other.

Ah, a new Freeman's Mind... That's the stuff right there.

Time to shout it from the mountain.

I bring you mortal danger and cookies. Not necessarily in that order.

So, I'm curious to ask, since view numbers are seemingly unavailable to random viewers on blip, has most of your audience still been around? And with that, is this new setup economically viable looking?

I noticed the Youtube views are pretty low, relatively speaking (although they could be wrong), and I was wondering if most people just went to blip instead.

Also, I know it's a bit early to ask, but I was just kinda curious, given the importance of economic sustainment and all.

I HAVE to blow everything up! It's the only way to prove I'm not CRAZY!

The singing was awesome. Ross, don't bother warning us of awesome stuff, just let it be a surprise.

Don't insult me. I have trained professionals to do that.

Gah. I got a new news topic notification today and thought it was episode 46. It was just 45, but the news notifier thingie was a day late.

It would've made sense since I thought 46 was done.

The singing made it worth the wait actually, well almost. It would have been worth the wait if it wasn't May. March or April would have been perfectly fine. But seriously, that was fantastic! And reading on TGWTG site it seems you are getting new viewers who didn't know you existed. Maybe move to a new network in a few months and grab new viewers? :-) Just kidding ... but .... hmmmmmmmmmmm

I am the very model of a modern Major-General,

I've information vegetable, animal, and mineral,

I know the kings of England, and I quote the fights historical

From Marathon to Waterloo, in order categorical;

I'm very well acquainted, too, with matters mathematical,

I understand equations, both the simple and quadratical,

About binomial theorem I'm teeming with a lot o' news,

With many cheerful facts about the square of the hypotenuse.

I'm very good at integral and differential calculus;

I know the scientific names of beings animalculous:

In short, in matters vegetable, animal, and mineral,

I am the very model of a modern Major-General.

I know our mythic history, King Arthur's and Sir Caradoc's;

I answer hard acrostics, I've a pretty taste for paradox,

I quote in elegiacs all the crimes of Heliogabalus,

In conics I can floor peculiarities parabolous;

I can fire at a target and hit it at least half the time

or graph out an electron path while using only numbers prime

I calculate the fall rate of a bullet shot a thousand yards

and perforate the thick heads of a hundred military guards.

I can make a simulation of an atom bomb and build one too

or flank a dozen men and ambush ten of them out of the blue

from SMGs to RPGs I carry quite an arsenal

and skip around a warzone like a subatomic particle

Every solider out here wants to kill me for my curiousity

I wage war on the whole damn world because of my tenacity

in matters combat tactical and physics theoretical I am the very model of a modern major general
