Yeah, this is mainly a video game-based forum, but... oh well. There's one for video games, I'm making one for movies. I'm a huge soundtrack fanatic. So, favourite movie soundtracks:
1. American Beauty (Thomas Newman) 2. Shawshank Redemption (Thomas Newman) 3. Black Hawk Down (Hans Zimmer) 4. Sunshine (John Murphy) 5. Jarhead (Thomas Newman) 6. Schindler's List (John Williams) 7. The Social Network (Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross) 8. The Happening (James Newton Howard) 9. Constantine (Klaus Badelt) 10. Lord of the Rings (Howard Shore)
Yeah, I'm a really big Newman fan.

1. Tron Legacy (Daft Punk) 2. Escape From New York (John Carpenter) 3. Das Boot (Klaus Doldinger) 4. Back To The Future (Alan Silvestri, but I prefer the songs by Huey Lewis) 5. Kill Bill (The RZA and various artists) 6. RoboCop (Basil Poledouris, though it has an absolutely awesome track by Ministry frontman Alain Jourgensen under the side project PTP) 7. The Terminator (Brad Fiedel) 8. The Day the Earth Stood Still (Bernard Herrmann) 9. Hackers (Orbital, Underworld, The Prodigy + more) 10. Assault On Precinct 13 (John Carpenter)
Yes, I'm a Carpenter fan.

It's the best soundtrack I have heard in my life. Dark and powerful and emotional, but also downright clubby at times. It's one of the few movies that made me go buy the soundtrack CD.

Oh man, I have a lot of them. Better if I pick my favourite compositors: Danny Elfman, Christopher Young, John Williams, Clint Mansell, Hans Zimmer.
And my best of the best Soundtracks:
Sherlock Holmes (By Hans Zimmer) Stardust (By Ilan Eshkeri) Sindbad (By Harry Greggson Williams) Bettlejuice (By Danny Elfman) K-Pax (By Ed Shearmur) Planet Terror (By Robert Rodiguez) The Moon (By Clint Mansell) TThe Shipping News (By Chris Young)
I like when soundtrack is dynamic and has a memoriable tittle theme (like in Indiana Jones or Star Wars). Actually in Sindbad and Stardust every song is diffrent. It's a variety of diffrent emotions in them. K-Pax and the Moon are more slow, but deeper in some tracks for example. Beetlejuice is crazy. I like it. It's femiliar to The Triple Du Belleville theme. And I have no idea, Why I love Sherlock Holmes OST. I think it's because it's femiliar to Pirates of the Caribbean Soundtrack.

Inception had some great music.
