I'm pretty sure that Denuvo Fault. I did beat a drm free version of the game years ago just fine.

Stygian: Reign of the Old Ones
Felipe Moura Hattler replied to Ross Scott's topic in Ross's Game List
I have a love/hate relationship with this game. I didn’t know much about it at first, not even that it was a Kickstarter project. I gave it a try, but ran into a game-breaking bug that forced me to stop playing. I tried again three more times, but had no success until about three months later when a patch was finally released. Unfortunately, to my disappointment, I found out that the game was unfinished. There are two quests that direct you to certain locations, but these locations simply don’t exist in the game—the main quest just ends abruptly. I later learned that the developers made this decision due to a tight schedule. But honestly, I would rather wait and play a complete game than deal with an unfinished one. However, they had a calendar to stick to and had promised a release by a certain time, so they rushed it out. The game has so much potential, and that’s what makes me sad. As it stands, it’s just not worth it. - Earlier

Utterly amazing, the level design is pristine and the combat is finger lickin good

Interesting game but sadly most of it is spent sitting there afk while you wait for the numbers to go up, pretty sure there's an option to multiply the numbers you get per second but that's a janky workaround and you will still end up having to sit there afk a lot, dropped after about 15~ hours of playtime (minus the time spent afk) as me and my friend couldn't really be bothered anymore because new mechanics were gated behind being afk for hours upon hours.

Much like Grizzly's last game, Islanders, it's simple and accessible, but has a lot of replay value and quality put into it. Also, if you like tower defense games, I strongly recommend No Creeps Were Harmed TD. It's twice the price of Thronefall, but it comes with 60 maps, a story mode, online co-op, all wrapped in this unique mechanic of building defenses in maps that bend and twist at angles for interesting positioning of shots and paths. Thronefall's maps are also VERY well crafted, but there's only 6 at the moment. Quantity doesn't equal quality, but thankfully you don't have to play every map in NCWHTD to unlock them all. They unlock in groups, so you can avoid maps you don't like.

Extremely basic trial-and-error stuff

The theme of "nostalgic innocent thing we grew up with having an evil twist" is used a LOT in games. FNAF, Poppy's Playtime, Amanda The Adventurer, etc. But this still does a good job. The animations and sounds on everything is superb, and the gameplay/level design perfectly executes the Resident Evil formula for combat, puzzles, exploration, and resource management (I can't remember if they added the option to save you game for without coins yet or not).

A fantastic and cheap city-builder sandbox, with amazing vibes and atmosphere, with more features and content planned. The photo-mode in particular is incredible, and you can use it to create some great videos and screenshots. You can even import other images and videos for static and animated billboards. However, if you look for billboard mods people share, like on the discord server for this game, note that the Dystopika community on Steam and Discord is FULL of AI art people. Now, the discord server itself doesn't share that much AI art, and the AI art does get labeled so people know, but most people in the community don't have any problems with AI art, and even get upset towards people expressing their discomfort towards the practice. Sucks that the creator is aware of this and still lets AI art be practiced and shared in the community.
