Careful with the vacuuming. You have to hold the fan else the vacuum cleaner air will spin it at a million rpm, the fan motor might die or generate electricity that will go back into the card any you risk frying something.

I wouldnt set the gpu fan to 100% all the time, noise will be intolerable.

Still not convinced the overheating is to blame, if trouble persists after cleaning the dust out of the PC and on both cards, then look elsewhere for the problem.

My 9800 overheats a lot, dunno if this helps but all I did to stop mine (for a short while of course) is but a new fan for the processer, my room gets about 80 degrees with my setup though. As for me the processer just frozw on most 3D app's. Started to lag, and crashed. Good luck on whatever your working on though.

Is there some sort of agreement preventing you from putting up a Paypal button? I would donate now for more videos, then pay again later for DVDs.

You could invent a new kind of videocard called videocardhdmibluray2000knine12 of course this would take longer to invent but it would help in the long run. Just a suggestion or you can duck tape your video card to your air conditioner and use longer wires to connect it to your computer but that would probably be a sight for sore eyes sorry bad idea never mind.

I once used a normal fan in front of my open computercase to deal with overheating problems. It works and it has an anarchistic charme to it ...

Do you hesitate to add a paypal button because of possible legal ramifications?

Set up a site or page on flowering, peak oil or paranoia-noia or stuff like that!

Your insights in those area's are sure to induce major-scale-donating.

LET US DOOOOOOOOOONATE!

I have NO idea why you are so against this.

Rooster Teeth does it all the time! People give 10 bucks every month!

Why cant you just set up a tip jar?

In 6 months time you could buy TWO computers!
