As for the RTS, I love Starcraft, but Warhammer 40k Dawn of War (the first one with expansion packs) wins by far. I never enjoyed any battle in any RTS as much as in Warhammer. Plus the voiceover is just purrrfect. "GLORY FOR THE FIRST MAN TO DIE!"

But if I take any strategy in general, I go for Rome: Total War. Roma Invicta.

Starcraft is too "APMBUILDORDERSRUSHRUSHRUSHMICROMICROMICRO" for me. I prefer slow, methodical games that can take hours to finish.

Another RTS I have to try is Sins of a Solar Empire.

Sins of the Solar Empire is... interesting, but never came to like it. I always prefered Homeworld in terms of space strategy.

The controls for Homeworld weren't as intuitive as the controls for SoaSE. It was better for managing a smaller fleet though.

Don't insult me. I have trained professionals to do that.

Company of Heroes and AOE 2 are my favourite RTSs. I'm yet to try Rise of Nations though.

Rise of nations is an incredibly good RTS game if you like command and conquer :)

Heresy I know, but I've only played the Dune games from Westwood. I just remembered Total War: Shogun II, I love that game, I don't know how it compares to others in the series though as it's my first TW game.

If we're gonna talk about PC exclusives, Deus Ex is out of the question since it was also on PS2.

And everybody knows that Rayman and Ace combat was the best titles on ps2 ;)

All right then, I'm going with Unreal, System Shock 2, and Unreal Tournament 2004 then.

Well, either way, a lot of games that have been ported to consoles were easily best on PC.

Oddly enough, I don't think this was true of the original Half-Life when the PS2 port was released. Half-Life: Source, imo anyway, reset that status quo, although I think the PS2 version is still flashier graphically speaking, not to mention it also include the Decay co-op.

I remember having a lot of fun with Gunman Chronicles. I'd mention Serious Sam or Duke Nukem, but those franchises are hardly PC-exclusive these days. Oh, I still love playing Opposing Force.

Gunman Chronicles is hands down one of the best FPS's I've played and it's criminally underrated.
