I mean, once I named a composition; "Round". ._.

If it sounded round, then I can't think of a better title myself.

XDD What the heck does 'round' sound like!?

Gain synesthesia for a few hours, and you'll be able to describe it as well as I can. (which is to say, not at all, but you'll understand the sound of round at least)

Don't insult me. I have trained professionals to do that.

My latest composition. :3

Completely piano, but still amazing. Made in about 2 hours.

And it all started with a single melody.

X3 A work in progress song.

I just don't have the patience right now to finish it. Stupid drums.

A lot of the notes are missing cause of one of the programs I use. -_- I use too many.

I should be able to just use one but oohhh weeeell.

I'll stick with my old method, Musescore, Jazz and Synthesia. Oof.

Windows Media Player is recommended. The instruments I use sound really crap on some other midi playing programs.

I don't want to shamelessly self-promote, but in my sig is the group I play with. If anyone wanted to take a listen to what's on there, and give any feedback at all (that isn't just "you suck"), I'd appreciate it!

Also on topic, is anyone else a fellow jazz-head like I am? I'd love to talk all things jazz and swing!

I absolutely love swing!

X3 Although, I slightly cheat in that I listen to more of Electro-Swing. I'll take a look at your music later when I'm not at school.

I don't listen to a ton of electro-swing, though I do on occasion. There's little that I won't listen to. But I prefer mostly the classic big band swing stuff; it's what I play and what I love :D

And awesome! Please let me know what ya think! I'm trying to just get feedback and such, beyond the mundane Facebook likes and whatnot.

Oh, also, the band I play with isn't jazz at all. Haha. Jazz was unrelated to my request :?

Nice tunes, GrooveWindow :) No-nonsense folk - you should come over to Newcastle one day ;)

Aye, I was in a trad jazz band for 3 years :D
Man' date=' I love this! It's very Diablo Swing Orchestra - I can hear the full band playing it. I may have to do something about that... ;)

I'm now finished with Uni, so I now have time to really get stuck into my musical things. My main Uni project was an album of music (and sounds) made using only bass guitars, which I'm going to be uploading to Soundcloud in the next few hours. You're all welcome to listen to it, but I must say that most of you probably won't enjoy it - most of it is basically noise.

Also, my second-main project was Composition - which I'll probably put on Soundcloud too at some point.

EDIT: Soundcloud, yo

I USED TO DREAM ABOUT NUCLEAR WAR

My new composition has a moment where Synthesia makes it into a pretty rainbow. X3

Thought it looked pretty awesome.

Synthesia is fun as hell. too bad i don't know what i'm doing. XD

It's just a MIDI file reader, is all. :P

Nothing complicated to it!

Anyway, I finally got my Behringer sound device to work. Which means... the below midi file is literally the sounds I played from my keyboard. And with my NEW pedal, my songs ain't sound like s***. I still have some configuring to do, because... 90% of the time, my midi program doesn't record the input for some odd reason. :S

But whatever! The song is a piano version of Sammer's Kingdom: Super Paper Mario. It was an awesome childhood game I played on my Wii. X3 I've known how to play this song for years now. I don't know why I've never forgotten it. I mean, I learn all my songs by muscle memory. But I dunno why especially this song has stuck so hard. Nostalgic to play and hear though! :D

Feels so much nicer and so natural when you're playing it live. None of that usual weird MIDI precision even though it's recorded in MIDI.

And using a decent SoundFont - I can actually imagine you playing.

More please! :D

^_^ Why thank you! I'm glad you like it.

Talking about recording... this doesn't have any MIDI to it, it's kinda crap quality, but it's still cool. X3 I'll re-upload with a fixed landscape view when I get the time.

It's me playing one of my compositions live! Hooray! Number of takes = too many!

I also seem to move around a lot when playing the piano. X3 For some odd reason. Although I guess it's better than seeing a beginner as stiff as a stick, hunched over the piano whilst playing chopsticks. XD
