About the pain I unfrotunately cannot tell... I think it's so individual - the perception of pain and threshholds... Some people can't stand their finger being pricked, some can break their arm and stand up and walk.

 

But today, painkillers are widely use for childbirth, so I don't think you need to worry too much, unless you decide to not use them...
