This is a really good reason to switch to AMD...

I saw this sort of thing coming back before the first Ryzen chips were announced. I'm so glad AMD managed to catch up in performance.

bleh, can someone please tell me that i'm not fucking insane, please...

the internet huh, more like, internet of SHIT

they are trying to install tracking cookies and the browser won't allow them so they try to run scripts to bypass that block. ( i introduced a friend of mine to adblock, and when he entered facebook he said everything took longer so he removed the blocker)
also google has shown bad faith by configuring the websites they own to run more slowly on anything not chrome. (there was a period where some vids on YT randomly would not run on my firefox, but would run without a hitch if i tried using chrome)

I see you weren't around for the decade or so when 90% of sites wouldn't even work at all on any browser except certain versions of IE. This is the best we've ever had it, and Google has been doing their best to be as compatible with everything as possible.

I did a dumb and bought RAM that's not entirely compatible with my motherboard. Locked at 8mgz, but I can "overclock" it to 31.5 which is closer to the intended performance. Sometimes there are blue screens.

The base clock of DDR4 is 2133... How the hell did it get down to 800?

Yeah... Make sure to get a screenshot of CPU-Z showing the RAM as well. (it can help with troubleshooting)

It should be out early 2021 for enterprise use, and usually a year or two later for consumer systems.
