Learning more about cracking games I own.

long time fan of the videos.  I was wondering could you please tell me more about cracking games I own.
How do I know I'm just downloading the crack?  And not a backdoor or something.  If the code is being changed how do I know the change is just the DRM?

Unless you posses an acumen related debugging, decompiling, or just general security. You could try virus scans, or loading it up in a VM and packet sniffer to see if it's phoning home, but that's just one measure that's not guaranteed to catch anything.
