Bloodborne

Infamous: Second Son

Killzone: Shadow Fall(story issues aside the gameplay is very satisfying, and that's coming from someone who doesn't like FPS with controller)

Last game for me was Killing Floor 2. Game is in a much better state now than it was since last I played

I'm currently going through Plants Vs Zombies 2. I played it before it got acquired by EA and became a grind fest but I'm now going through the grind fest. They did incorporate some very cool new plants and it gets hard towards the last levels which was my main complain with the first one. It was way too easy.

I'm also playing TLOZ: Breath Of The Wild on Cemu emulator. It's a joy to play at 1080p/60fps. The game is beautiful even if limited by the switch and wii u's specs a bit.

When I have company I like to play Cuphead because it's easier than going through it single player.

and I also play PUBG or CS:GO almost daily. I've also got back into playing ZDaemon (an engine port of Doom which has tons and tons and tons of wads. It's pretty ballar).

Space Rogue.

Similar to FTL, but with MUCH more content, no chase fleet, and a lot of bugs. (but at least they're really easy to bypass, just relaunch the game)

Slime Rancher.

Actually beat adventure mode. Despite being told exclusively through email messages and little message terminals around the world it is quite beautiful.

That game is cute as hell, but I honestly got bored out of my mind not even 20 - 30 minutes in. I get burned out very quickly from it, but I do want to play it.

It's the same problem I have with Subnautica, once I've feel like I've "won" or once I get stable, I just get really bored. Generally I need a storyline in order to push towards some kind of bigger goal, simple survival games burn me out quickly though. I also find myself dropping survival games, which require you to maintain some kind of stat, over and over again, very quickly.

I used to play Minecraft to build stuff in it, but once they added the hunger mechanic, everything got so obnoxiously tedious for me, I'm constantly trying to keep a number up, and it doesn't feel very fun to me. I don't know why it bothers me so much though, or why these game bore me really.

I know that for me the problem usually comes down to the gameplay, which starts to feel a bit artificial, but I'm not sure why I get a really bad feeling if I try to force myself, it kinda sucks. Some games are kinda swallow though, and generally that holds true for some games.

There are some games, I do wish I could play through though.

Thank god for cheats though, there are some games which I can blow through by just cheating a lot, which I wouldn't normally play to be honest. It's the only way I got anywhere in Fallout 1 and Fallout 2. I got bored of Fallout 1 though, and Fallout 2, even though I got a bit far, I still kinda dropped it, I don't know, I guess the story is just too difficult for me to really get.

I kinda like games where the characters kinda stand out, over some storyline though, but I like to have an end goal, like save this planet, because your puppies are on it, or something. I'd rather have a game be carried by the characters and their personality though, Max Payne and Binary Domain are very simple games at their core but I really enjoyed them in the end.

It's a destressing game for me. I can't say I find it fun it the traditional sense of a game being fun, but it's a great game for me to take my mind off whatever's bringing me down or wearing me out. It's the most relaxing exploration game I've played and I love all the writing despite there not really being a whole lot of it. I just get absolutely lost in it which is rare for a game to do these days, especially with my ADHD.

Ah, I generally cannot stand reading in games, seeing as to me, it feels like a waste of time. If it's just in writing, and if it's not actual content in the game, then reading starts to feel like a chore. I also hate it when, text logs hype up something really cool, but then... nothing happens.

Honestly, the Mass Effect games are such a chore for me, I just honest to god try to listen to the dialogue, but... at one point I just end up skipping every single line. I don't know why, but I really struggle to follow all the dialogue and text the game throws at you once in a while, I like it more when it's paced out, instead of just, five hours of talking, and thirty minutes of gameplay.

As far as games to relax to, Wreckfest, Jak & Daxter, Jak X, Max Payne, Binary Domain, Ace Combat 3, 4, 7, and even the first Ratchet & Clank, are my go to games sometimes. Dynasty Warriors 3 and Prototype are also okay time wasters. SSX is another one for me. I have more but, honestly I forgot.

Age of Mythology, as far as strategy games go. StarCraft 2 on very easy is also pretty fun.

As far as PC games go, I actually played Tower Unite, it was pretty relaxing, pretty casual. I just explored around mostly, screwed around a lot.

Do you have any suggestions for more casual, or relaxed games?

Completely understandable. In all fairness even I don't much care for heavy reading in games. The reading in Slime Rancher isn't really heavy and feels more like getting letters from an old friend (and in one case, that is exactly it). I guess it helps that all the reading is paced evenly and never more than a 30 second read.

This game just kind of hit a note every other game trying to do the same thing failed to do so. Like, I legit found myself in tears at the very end it was so wonderfully done. A game about hording alien slime and selling their crystallized poop brought me to tears lmao.

As for relaxing games, I'd say...

-Stardew Valley is a good one. It's a farm sim game but it has a mine diving "minigame" that's combat oriented, tho basically so.  But largely it's the whole build up your farm, get married, start a family, etc sort of thing. Person top favorite of mine but again might not be for you. If you've ever played Harvest Mood it's a spiritual successor to that.

-Terraria on regular can be pretty chill once you learn the ropes

-While not inherently the point I find Red Faction Guerrilla a good game to relax to because entire building demolition is really cathartic lol

-Subnautica is a very relaxing game for me so long as I stay away from the dark water lol(ocean phobia)

you can tell from these games I'm largely a fan of tiered progression lol.

All I can think off the top of my head for now. My issue is that a lot of the games I find relaxing are games that aren't inherently so but I've gotten good enough at to just take it easy when I play. Like I could easily throw Path of Exile and Dark Souls 3/Bloodborne on there despite not being games at all meant for relaxing to.

ewww, so that's what i was selling all along??? oh god i had swimming pools worth of minerals

uhh anyway

Red Faction Guerilla is one of my favourite games, to just fuck around in, I wanted to mention it but, I forgot about it completelly, I didn't like Stardew Valley much though (i might give it another shot, but i got animal crossing vibes, where, you are not really supposed to play it too actively, or you'll get burned out), and Terraria, I just struggle to do anything, but I want to pick it up again once the update releases.

I don't think Dark Souls 3 is that hard, I got pretty far by just playing as a cave man, my whole loadout looked like this.

I just got bored at the cemetery area though, I rolled myself into the cliff, and I just rage quit to be honest, I felt like I wasted my time.

I hate swamps personally, and the game was starting to get a bit tedious for me, as I mostly died in really dumb ways, and the lack of boss checkpoints, just made me drop it. If it had quick saves, I would probably keep playing it, but as is, I'll pass.

also fuck dogs

also the game was trying to pull a fast one on me, as if i hadn't noticed, but i've played enough of dark cloud, often enough to develop a sixth sense for bullshit, and i've learned to never trust any chest, no matter what game i'm in

i got slightly suspicious when i noticed that it was almost breathing

The Souls-like games aren't hard. They just punish you for not knowing the thing they wanted you to know, without telling you what it is they wanted you to know.

LGIP: World Of Final Fantasy.

Devil May Cry is the latest game that I am playing. I can't finish it yet since I've been busy for the last couple of days.
