I think this is intended behaviour, but I can look into it. If you try it with another sub-forum, you'll notice it takes you back to the root but then attempts to scroll down to that section. I think that's all that breadcrumb is doing.

Yeah, is does do the scroll thing, but since it's only scrolling about 1/8th of the page it isn't really doing much. (1440p monitor means I see 80% of the forums without having to scroll) On the old forums it had a separate page for the subforum sections, not just the root with scroll, and that was what I was concerned might be being missed.

Unfortunately it's root functionality of XenForo and would require upkeep against their own core updates, so it's not likely something that will get changed.

Going to be a while before Ross and I have time to address it. It's on the list though.

The reason for the removal of the serious topics section is kind of ambiguous, so you'll have to forgive me for jumping to conclusions here, but if the AF forum isn't the place for political discussion (at least beyond Ross's current political ambitions) then shouldn't the civilization problems section go too?

If we get the same number of reports and infighting that the Serious Discussion board generated from the Civilization Problems board, then we'll likely remove that board as well.
