Denial of objective reality

I know there are some that will claim this is political, but it isn't.

There is an epidemic of women denying objective reality with regards to a specific trial that was just declared to be a mistrial. This is a significant problem for society that there are literally thousands of women that are claiming that the woman didn't kill her children, even though the defense never even tried to argue that she didn't do it. The trial was exclusively about whether she was insane when she did it. These women are literally trying to find a way to legalize murder, as long as it's done by a woman that claims insanity.

I'll leave this thread open but this doesn't really fit the spirit of this sub-forum, this isn't a long-tail civilization issue. Intent is targeted towards a specific case and a specific demographic. While the abstract idea of issues with the US judicial system could be argued, the framing of the case in this thread is rage bait. I don't see any interaction with this that leads to civil discourse. If arguing breaks out or if it devolves into discussion revolving around men vs women, I'll lock this thread.

It's not a specific case, it's pointing to the most recent event that shows this from a demographic that is close to half the country's population. I could add in the OJ Simpson trial, and the numerous mass murderers that have received thousands of love letters while in jail, the entire George Floyd debacle... It's a long-term pattern that is gradually getting more and more violent and societally destructive.

It quite literally has people in the group who have stated that their goal is to destroy the civilization they live in, publicly, in an official party meeting on camera.

Is that not a civilizational problem that fits into this forum? To try and find the source of this?

Locking this. This framing is guaranteed to start a flame war. The underlying topic of insanity defenses, high-profile verdicts, and jury decision making are arguably structural issues. The framing of "An epidemic of women" and "close to half the country's population" is an argument about women and not the courts. Demographic arguments aren't appropriate for this sub-forum. We're not restarting the politics sub-forum here.
