  1. Nice episode Ross. I love how you solve rationally some of the most annoying parts of the game.

Oh, and does anyone understand what Gordon is saying to the scientist before the scientist reveals, in a shocking twist, that he speaks English? Unlike Gordon (and Ross?), I am not a polyglot. Working at it, but not yet, and not with that language.

He says "Quiero un poco de drogas, ¿donde están? Tengo dinero" which means "I want some drugs, where are they? I have money"

    I think it's likely it's just gibberish.

    Nope my friend, that's spanish.

I've seen you write in what I assume is your native tongue. To me it sounded like Klingon or something

  2. Wow! I have too much time on my hands.

In case anyone didn't see the few posts about this, I said I would "Publish" or "Print" J.C.'s journal entries as an actual journal. I may have went a little over board

    Here's a link to the PDF http://www.megaupload.com/?d=0QCGDKXH

Tomorrow when I get bored, I'll print it and put a rifle beside it, and a knife stabbed through a machinima logo, etc. and take a picture.

Like I said, I have too much time on my hands. Oh well, this keeps me occupied until the next episode.

That was awesome Points for that. I'm also keeping this in my Accursed Farms Folder (it's where I keep the good stuff).

As for the doctor (job offer, talks funny), I was actually thinking about this guy.

  3. Day 9

The roar of the siege engines woke me up. The entire western section had been annihilated by a surprise CoD: Black Ops video, and the remaining batteries were retaliating with everything they had.

When I saw the broken bodies of my comrades, burning amongst piles of twisted metal, something snapped inside of me, and I started running towards Machinima.com's main gate, firing and screaming like a maniac... and so did everyone else, in a glorious charge of rage and madness.

Somehow, a few of us managed to make it inside the fortress and into one of their uploading rooms. I shoved my shotgun in the mouth of one of their technicians and demanded the immediate release of the videos. He started mumbling something about the reactor being overloaded, so I pulled the trigger and, as the headless corpse collapsed to the ground, turned my attention to the next soulless drone. This one promptly pressed a few buttons and said "It's done! I only had access to one of the vid..." before letting out a horrific scream and spontaneously exploding in waves of dark fire. I guess that was some sort of failsafe built into their bodies.

As we frantically searched for a way to release the second video, a message came through the radio: "Attention all units: severe dimensional instability detected. Negative energy pressure rising within Machinima.com's headquarters. Resonance Cascade imminent. Evacuate immediately! I repeat, evacuate imme..."

    And that's all I remember...

I woke up several hours later inside a medivac chopper... and I almost fainted again, as a portal storm was clearly visible raging outside. What terrible evils will this unleash upon our world, no one knows.

The price we paid this time, may prove to be too high in the end.

We won the battle, but the war continues, for Machinima.com remains, growing ever stronger, and there is still another FM waiting to be released, hidden deep inside the belly of the beast. I'm afraid I won't be joining that fight... not for a while, at least.

    J.C.

P.S. On a peculiar note, the doctor that is tending at my wounds says he has a special job offer for me, and that we'll discuss it once we land. He talks in a really odd way...

  4. So, what would happen or where did i go wrong? Or is this chopped up as an incompatibility between relativity and the quantum world.

I would say so. Einstein postulated it was evidence that quantum theory is incomplete (he didn't really like quantum theory), but entanglement has since been proven to exist and be a fundamental part of quantum mechanics. You can fall into the multiple universes explanation, say flat out that entanglement doesn't imply causality, say that it's impossible to effectively transmit information over an entangled system (thus preserving causality), or loose your mind and go eat some cake

  5. WATCHU TALKIN BOUT FOO!? I always copy and paste J.C.'s "war diary" entries into a .doc for when this is all over. As I said before, I might print it and make it look all old and ragged. I asked him to promise me that the last entry will be epic. I don't know if he saw that post.

Sorry, this thread grows too fast. I just saw it. I'll try to make it as epic as possible

  6. Day 8

As night falls and the battlefield is covered in darkness, I look upon Machinima.com's mighty black fortress, and remember the words of the mad author, Sutter Cane:

"This page had once been the seat of an evil older than YouTube and wider than the known Internet. It was a website of pain and suffering beyond human understanding.

Originally, there was a machinima video page posted on this site in two thousand and six, but the black channel swallowed up the old website the way it has swallowed our minds. Now there is nothing left of what was once here, except the playlist of the Mind of Freeman above the front page.

Some believe the old website still exists somewhere, trapped inside this evil channel. Its primeval inhabitants were a murderous race of prepubescent Call of Duty fans whose vile existence contaminated time itself, affecting history with their sadistic wickedness."

We have lost so much in this fight... but since we know now there are not one, but two episodes being held hostage by the dark ones, our resolve is greater than ever.

DAMN YOU MACHINIMA.COM! DO YOU HEAR ME! DAMN YOU TO HELL!

  7. Day 7

Silence, at last. I can still hear the screams in my head, though. Screams of agony, sorrow and despair.

We lost a whole battalion today. Almost a thousand good men and women, true fans all of them, enraged by Machinima.com's refusal to release the next FM video, charged the main gate. Armed to the teeth, weapons in hand, they ran through the no-man's land between the siege camp and Machinima.com's fortress, in a suicidal fit of glorious and righteous anger... until the Dark Ones deployed their Black Ops Deathmachines, and the world seemed to end.

    There were no survivors.

How much can one man endure, before loosing his mind? Or worse, becoming that which he hates?

As I fall asleep, I remember the words our drill sergeant made us repeat over and over again: In absentia Freeman's mentem, CoD vincunt. In the absence of Freeman's Mind, CoD prevails.

  8. I am getting a Labrador puppy in 1month, and i just got to see him for the first time and he is SOO CUTE! DD

Welcome to the club. I have a 3 and a half years old Labrador. This is him when he was 2 months old.

Expect massive amounts of laughter, chaos and craziness. Very intelligent dogs, they can raise hell like no other race.

  9. Day 6

I almost didn't make it through the day.

I'll never forget the horrors I've witnessed during this siege. Machinima.com's evil knows no limit. I saw one fan... I can't remember his name. He let out a loud scream, grabbed a crowbar, and charged the main gates, cursing like a maniac. Something huge and dark came from inside and engulfed him. It wasn't smoke... it seem more like... pure evil.

The fan came back tough. But... different. His eyes were empty. He claimed he'd spoken to the dark lords that sit in Machinima.com's throne room and they assured him the video would be released soon, so we should lay down our weapons and embrace the content they were putting out.

I wasn't fooled. The darkness is spreading. I can feel it. I can't hold on much longer.

  10. Day 5

Only dust, blood and light today.

I saw some brave souls trying to storm the south wall. I think they were hoping to find an entrance and free the video from Machinima.com's unholy hands. This did not end well, as they were all eradicated by a tactical duke nukem video.

Machinima.com's fortress still towers above the siege camp, dark, mighty and unyielding.

  11. I'll keep brainstorming on this. Whatever I decide on, it will NOT be designed to alienate non-donators. I don't want to give too much in the way of special privileges because some people have more money to contribute. The point of this money (to me) is to make even BETTER videos and any perks that go along with it will have to be a secondary focus.

Don't worry about us. If this helps you make awesome videos, that's more than enough reward

  12. Day 4

We lost a lot of good men today. Machinima.com's barrage was unforgiving. I don't know how much more of this can I take without loosing my sanity.

As I stare into the darkness, dimly lit by the fires that come from Machimima.com's hellish youtube channel, I remember a verse from "The Raven", by Edgar Allan Poe.

Deep into that channel peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing,

    Doubting, watching videos no mortal ever dared to watch before;

But the silence was unbroken, and the channel gave no token,

And the only video there posted was the whispered word, `CoD!'

This I whispered, and an echo murmured back the word, `CoD!'

    Merely this and nothing more.

  13. Day 3

I don't think I'll ever get the images off my head. Today was particularly brutal, with CoD video after Cod video: an endless stream of mindless abominations, cutting deep into my soul.

All the major cities in the east coast have gone silent. I'm still getting some transmissions from the western settlements. Mostly poor devils that roam the deserted streets around Machinima.com's headquarters, hoping in vain for a midnight release.

As I descend into an uneasy sleep, Machinima.com's fortress towers in the horizon, mocking me...

  14. What???? You've never heard of this event before????

Well, that's easy. I live in a far away country, in another continent. It has it's benefits (like the fact that the when "The Fall" happens, it's going to be easier to survive here) and drawbacks (such as prices for software, PC components and cars, and the fact that I need a 14 hour flight to get anywhere fun)

"There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy" Hamlet, Scene V.

On topic: Machinima.com should start uploading episodes in about one hour, I think.
