  1. Mhmm... Charge $10 for playing it in you PC?

You can add other services, like food an beverages and charge for those as well. Also, you could provide real-time game-play commentary to the user, maybe a little dancing and singing as well.

  2. It's possible that, by the end of Freeman's Mind (o noes!), Gordon will be so fed up with things that he decides to accept G-Man's offer to bring a sense of stability back to his chaotic life (after being on Xen for so long and fighting Nihilanth, y'know). Finally, a human being again!

Then he wakes up on a train to City 17.

I agree with you. I think Gordon will be so fed up with Black Mesa and fighting aliens that he will accept the offer.

  3. I was looking the other day at some old 70's sci-fi shows called "The Starlost" and "Sapphire and steel". Anyone remember those? The first one shows a group of people exploring a giant spaceship (that has more or less reverted to a wild state) containing the last remains of the human race. The other features two "elemental agents" that investigate strange phenomena.

  4. Way too many poisons in it for me to want to drink that... (chlorine, fluoride, etc.)

Think of it as building up immunity against those things. You know, whatever doesn't kill you, only makes you... stranger.

  5. Mind if I tell you, your sig is the best sig on this forum yet. I will give you rep for every post you make just for that sig. You could confess a deep seething hatred for me and I would still forgive you, just for that sig.

Thank you, that's very nice of you to say. Ross' videos are just filled with awesome quotes, it's easy to make a signature based in them.

I see the Episode 33 is growing up fast

Yes. Maybe we'll have another episode by next weekend

  6. That's a very good question. Why do you hate it? I get pleasure from the simple fact of holding a nice book. The feel of the binding, the smell of the pages, the texture of the covers, are like foreplay to me... with the reading part being the equivalent to that coitus thing you boys and girls like to talk about.

  7. It might be wrong to feel that way. It is also entirely human and natural.

    Wise words. Very true.

Directed at the OP... I should have clarified my clarification question's direction... lol

    Nothing like recursive humor

I would never cheer for someone's death

I hope you never do. However, odds and human nature (and also what I believe to be inevitable course of future events) are against you on this one.

  8. Watch your language Koach sequel

I have to admit you had me thinking for a second with the "Koach sequel" name. Very clever.

It is important to know your limits 'before' any events happening.

This is exactly the crux of the matter. When you are too young, you don't know (don't have the experience, development -emotional and/or rational, or maturity) your limits. That's where parents, family and a responsible society come in.

  9. I think 14 is too early for that coitus thing you guys like to talk about

I think we've had this discussion somewhere else... can't remember exactly where.

Anyone willing to pay my transportation costs to get me over to the middle-east so I can get some combat experience before I die? (yes, I like to be self destructive when I have enough money to be self destructive)

Oh, don't worry. Just wait a few years. As developed societies implode, you'll get plenty plenty of opportunities for urban warfare.

  10. What was so good in this episode that it beats some of the priceless moments in the past?

Yes, yes, we've had a lot of memorable episodes, but you have to understand it's been a loooong time since the last episode, people are just exited. Also, Freeman is in a high stress situation, navigating his way around flooded corridors ("Don't panic, don't panic, don't panic, I'm sure there's minutes worth of air in this pocket... PANIC!"), and when he gets out, he say "I'm WET", like nothing happened You can see the guy is loosing it.

And when the scientist tells him about the tranquilizer gun, all he really cares about is to try and see if he can get high with it

And the final sequence, is just epic.

    FreemansMind32.gif

Another classic quote for the pantheon.

Thought this was interesting. Given that, you know, Freeman was trying not to drowning when mentioning it.

Otto! Always nice to hear from you

Just another example of reality imitating art I suppose

  11. From Wikipedia

Xylazine is a drug that is used for sedation, anesthesia, muscle relaxation, and analgesia in animals such as horses, cattle and other non-human mammals. An analogue of clonidine, it is an agonist at the α2 class of adrenergic receptor.
