  1. ProHypster and I were talking about how we never chat all together at once, either on STEAM or here at the IRC Channel. Just so we all are on the same page, I'm using this page http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/ as reference.

Since I work monday to friday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, those hours are lost to me, except when I'm being lazy, like I am right now ;) Weekends are best for me, 18:00 GMT sounds ok, but since it's the weekend I have no problem with other hours.

What do you think? I know we have members all over the world, is anyone interested in organizing a concerted meeting? Or should we just post that we are in the IRC, waiting to talk to anyone?

  2. I'm contemplating another long day of work.

JC, you live in Europe?? I thought you are from Chile, 18:00 BT means around 22:00-24:00 on the American Continent, Perhaps you would like to type the optimal time for you?

Yes, you remember correctly, I am from Chile. We are west of GMT, -4 to be precise. And since we are in daylight savings time, -3 at the moment. So, 18:00 GMT equals 15:00 GMT -3.

I suggest we move this to the General Chat, see if we can work something out.

  3. Every day at 18:00 British time, fine? Whoever can't come, doesn't but 18:00 British time is in my opinion the best time sine it won't be too late or too early for members here from different countries.. If we agree, I will put reminder in my sig.

    I can't :(

18:00 GMT is 15:00 for me. I'm at work at that time.

    Maybe on the weekends.

  4. I guess I've been lucky. My old laptop (it's from 2006) still works like a charm. No problems whatsoever.

I don't use it much anymore though. My gaming desktop and the iPad are more than enough.

  5. Oh, sorry. It was just from a list of YMSF jokes I saw in a nerdy jokes site, it was not directed at you in particular, just a bad coincidence you posted before me.

Let's do this instead. Engineer jokes. No one has a problem with those. I am one, in fact. An engineer, not a joke.

Q: When does a person decide to become an engineer?

A: When he realizes he doesn't have the charisma to be an undertaker.

Q: How can you tell an extroverted engineer?

A: When he talks to you, he looks at your shoes instead of his own.

You might be an engineer if:

    - Choosing between buying flowers for your wife and upgrading your RAM is a problem.

    - In college, you thought Spring Break was metal fatigue failure.

    - The salespeople at the local computer store can't answer any of your questions.

    - At an air show, you know how fast the skydivers are falling.

    - You can type 70 words per minute but you can't read your own handwriting.

    - You comment to your wife that her straight hair is nice and parallel.
