  1. i was asking if the machina 15% bonus damage with a fully charged shot can go the extra mile and destroy a lvl 3 in 1 shot.

    Yes it can.

It certainly cannot. A level 3 sentry has 216 hitpoints, the machina at 100% charge does 173 damage. You couldn't destroy a level 2 sentry in one shot.
  2. One thing I've always wondered. Do headshots apply to sentries? Like, is there a central part of a sentry that you should target for bonus damage? Most of the sentries do have an obvious "head" area that might act as a weak point.
Nope. Critical hits don't effect buildings.
  3. So if an entire team is good and wins several rounds consecutively, they should be punished for it by having some of the aforementioned players placed on the team that refuses to learn from their mistakes/can't learn from their mistakes?

    Do enlighten me.

It's the same as wealth condensation, I suppose it would be "skill condensation" but the principal is similar.
  4. I try not to add people I haven't met in real life. I'll make an exception if you're really good at Left 4 Dead 2.
i thot we wuz BFFz! Oh well, it makes me wonder if you're more like Twilight than Rainbow Dash though.
  5. I'm saying that torrenting MLP is as ethical as streaming it. Not that either is really that unethical. I've never even seen it on TV myself. Besides, Hasbro would loose their impossibly won fan base.

  6. And I'm the most sadistic, evil, and cynical.
You're very internet naive if you think that.
I'm stubborn and neophobic like that.
    Yes' date=' yes you are.
The whole "Hey, friendship is cool, guys!" thing seems like the purview of the show, even though alphabetagamma has said it's more than that.. could someone tell me what it's about other than that?
Would really like to know? This video explains some of the plot quite well: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vqgsXkmQ6ZI
It's not a blind assumption of unenjoyment or disinterest. I've seen examples of the program' date=' not peer based comments, actual quotations and images and literal descriptions of some of the plots, I use that to affirm my claim that I would not enjoy the show.[/quote']There's a difference between experiencing something and knowing about something. That's why I get upset when you say you know it's not your thing.
MAST3RLINKX is the unethical one, not me. If I torrent, I have an illegal copy on my hard drive; if I watch a streaming video, I'm watching someone else have an illegal copy. I think it's kind of like the difference between stealing cable and watching stolen cable through someone's window. Also, I could be wrong about this, but I've never heard of intellectual property owners getting mad at people who watch streaming videos; they get mad at people who upload them.
Watching someone else's stolen cable and stealing cable are not that different ethically. Streaming is essentially downloading a temporary copy of whatever you're watching. It doesn't matter if you stream it or torrent it, you're still "stealing" from Hasbro by watching their property without compensating them.
Why does everypony say this? If the show gets to the point where it's so bad, it's intolerable, why is it not permissible to write it off? Even if the rest is decent, the show still averages on mediocre.
We say it so people know we don't want them to watch the whole season, just a few episodes. About the same number of episodes it took for us to start liking the show.

And that's my wall of text.

  7. From what I can gather, the people here are afraid to watch it because they think they might like it. That's why they act like reading about a TV show is the same as watching it. It's rather sad. I guess you didn't read my post when I said that we all didn't think that we'd like it.

  8. There is one space between each of by responses and posts; I DID NOTHING WRONG.
I was only joking, but you did put two :P
For one thing, Youtube is huge; if something is on Youtube, usually the owners of the intellectual property know it's up. The onus is on them to file a complaint; if no complaint is filed, it's assumed they don't have a problem with it. Torrent sites are too underground for them to do anything about it and they're usually in different countries. Props to the Sweedish police for taking down the The Pirate Bay guys. Really, it's only unethical if the corporation has a problem with you using their intellectual property. People like Valve could easily get all the machinimas on Youtube taken down, but they don't, so the videos are ethical.

Also, when people who upload streaming videos are sent cease-and-desist letters from corporations, they usually apologize and quickly take the video down even if they're not technically in breach of the law--they have a respect for other people's property.

Torrent people on the other hand, are obnoxious.

The people that upload MLP to Youtube aren't exactly angels. The original (I think) video of episode 1 with over 2,000,000 views was taken down due to a copyright claim recently: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JeJ6-gN0eB4 along with a score of other episodes but people will just re upload them. MAST3RLINKX is a prime example. His episodes were removed, so he re uploaded them and made a YTP mocking the legality of what he was doing. I fail to see any ethical difference between watching and downloading MLP on Youtube and torrenting it.
  9. Want to know why we say you can't criticize it until you've watched it? It's because you're criticizing something when you have an extremely superficial idea of what it's like. None of us thought the show would be good from our first impressions, but we all watched it and liked it. And in the time it took me to remember to post this, Michael Archer has responded to poiuyt for me, but he triple spaced so his response is enormous. :P

By the way Michael, why is torrenting the show so different from say, watching it on Youtube?

  10. Soooo...... What is the plot about?

A character that only appeared in 2 episodes...

    ?

    Don't listen to Username, he's.. well he's a.. he's a.. anyways.

It's about lots of things, mostly the episodes are independent of each other, and lots of them have predictable story lines, but they're still fun to watch. The basics though, one pony has to learn about friendship. Yeah, I know how it sounds and it's not like that.

  11. I don't know, I try not to think about it. I don't think it really matters either way. I won't care too much if there is nothing anyways. But I could go on for a while about what I believe. I should have just said "I don't know"

Do you... wait for it... Like MLP:FiM?

  12. Ok, I'll get them this weekend and see how it goes from there.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vqgsXkmQ6ZI

Here, are the answers you seek. :ugeek:

So that's 5 conversions and one possible conversion since I've been a brony. I'll take what I can get.
Conversion is a very, frightening term. I would use something like... inclusion maybe. Besides, the only difference is liking a TV show. It's not like a religious conversion or anything.
