  1. The only game on the poll I would even buy is Skyrim. You're leaving out a lot of great games, and are also showing some platform bias (including two halo games but not uncharted 3 for example), which makes it pretty useless as a poll. The only opinion you'll get are those that match your own.

    BF3? No?

It doesn't appear to have any real flavor. It feels like it was designed to be just another bland modern shooter. Generally when I play a shooter, it has character. Like half life 2, or uncharted 2. They emphasize character, story, and style over simple realism. If I wanted to be walking around in the desert, occasionally shooting at middle eastern militia, then I'd join the army.

I like it because it mixes realism and fun better then most games. It's not CoD bland but you make a good point.

  3. I would definitely not give Halo: Reach anything over a 3/5. The whole game seems too simplistic for me (No bullet drop or travel time?) and an almost complete lack of non-graphic/weapon updates have really worn down the series for me. Overall too simple with unrealistic pacing makes the whole Halo series mind numbing for me. (I'm not saying Halo players are stupid! Don't take it the wrong way!) I'll admit Halo can be fun, but it lost my interest after a few days.

  4. There are a lot of good games coming out this year no doubt, but I'm skeptical as to how much they will actually change the gaming industry. The excitment for new games this year feels the same as I does every year. This year could very well be the biggest year for gaming in a long time, but it's hard to predict the affect a game will produce before it's been released.
