I don't understand whats your point?
Good advice dammit!

I was trying to be kind and helpful and you respond with a pedantic correction that had no relevance to the advice I was trying to provide. It totally comes across as somewhat arrogant on your part.

-
So you are wanting me to double post?
In the Project Mayhem 2012 thread if it's gone off the page and you have something new to add and using the Edit button won't make the new change immediately obvious (ie it's on page 2 or 3), then I don't see the harm. It's better than posting it all in other threads when there's already one dedicated to the subject.

I fixed it for you.
Fixed? :/
I think you may have missed my point...I was trying to provide advice, there is no reason to be pedantic, the thread name in my example isn't important.

So, what half life games have you completed on hard (without cheats) and what was your time?
If you have not completed one of the half life games on hard are you in the middle of playing it on hard?
Do you plan to play one of the half life games on hard?
At one time or another I've played them all on hard. No idea what my time was though, I don't normally time myself when playing games.

So what happened regarding the whole Synergy/Sven Coop thing in the end?

Well NOW we are going off topic. Lets get back on the Kickstarter thing.
Indeed! I don't think the Obsidian comment was off-topic at all. In fact, it's a quite relevant point. The startling amount of funds that have been donated for the Double-Fine adventure game in such a short space of time could well set a precedent for other small games companies to follow suit.
I mean...wow, $1,627,766 in less than a week and there's still 30 days to go until the deadline. Admittedly this is Tim Schafer, who is known for the classic adventure games of the past which has undoubtedly helped spur things on, however if other small games companies can use Kick Starter to successfully make games that publishers won't fund, we might see some interesting new games in the future. Emphasis on the 'might' though, only time will tell.

I believe the basis of the film is on the stereotypical cheesy B-movie plots of the 1950s.

There we go, I've moved it to the Serious Topic Discussion section.

The whole space-nazi concept seems very silly and while I do like silly, those kind of movies generally seem to not be made very well. Also I am not sure what it's supposed to be, a comedy? an action movie?
On a positive note, I like the actor who seems to be playing the bad guy.
You may recognise him as Yuri from Red Alert 2.
And if it wasn't obvious, it is most certainly a comedy.

I've had my eye on this for a while. What they've released so far seems pretty impressive, I just hope it's good.
NotNotPerhaps you could both elaborate?

Saturday 11 AM PST would be fine for me. Anyone else have a problem with that time?
For a moment I misread that as 11PM and checked the time and was thinking '6AM!?'

2. Gabe Newell says that at E3 2012, that they are going to be announcing something that has a "3" in it. Most likely "Half-Life 3".
That is all the news I have!
Source?
I remember seeing this, it was in a reply to a fan email. Along the lines of "You'll be glad to hear your favourite things will be coming to E3" or something.
I think that was a different email, but I vaguely recall that both emails may have actually been fakes.

First it would be nice to know who is all coming and what timezone he/she/it lives in so I can come up with a time that is ok for everyone.
I'm interested but I can't guarantee anything.
-
We should get an event set up on the steam group.
That would help for coordination purposes as it should display the correct time for everyone's local timezone.
-
May not be the most original, but dammit I had a description tag an wanted to use it.
Great description idea there.

Whoever hosts should make sure that their ports are forwarded correctly. Alternatively anyone could host using a VPN like Hamachi.

So do we wanna do a little synergy event next weekend?
I would be up for this!

Peak players: 13,216
That was just sad... Considering 40,000 people joined the group for the event, It's just pathetic that only 13k managed to get on at once.
Kind of reminds me of the Modern Warfare 2 boycott. >

Perhaps they were unaware that the motherboard was being shipped with an outdated BIOS version?

DON'T MAKE ME CHOOSE! D:
More seriously, I really enjoyed the original Half-Life and the franchise in general. Another one that comes to mind is Metro 2033.
I also have fond memories of Counter-Strike: Source, and have enjoyed playing TF2 as well.
If the two Portal games count as FPS', then they're also on my list.
Then it's probably either Far Cry or Doom 3, or both.

EDIT: Bioshock as well, and possibly Oblivion and Skyrim if you count those as FPS'.

Operation Revenge, engaged.
Operation Megaupload, engaged.
Operation Blackout, engaged.
We are Anonymous.
We are Legion.
We do not Forgive.
We do not Forget.
To the United States Government, you should've expected us.
This sort of stuff bothers me, it's so clichéd and entirely unnecessary...

This exercise appears to have little meaning or significance. The only people being 'trolled' are the people who carry out these instructions by embarrassing themselves. I reserve them no pity however as they willingly chose to partake in this nonsense.
