  1. Cat Bombs

The most creative way to use a cat as a weapon happened in World War II. The United States' OSS (Office of Strategic Services, the precursor of the CIA) needed a way to guide bombs to sink German ships. Somebody hit upon the inspiration that since cats have such a strong disdain of getting wet and always land on their feet that if you attached a cat to a bomb and drop it in the vicinity of a ship, the cat's instinct to avoid the water would force it to guide the bomb to the enemy's deck. It is unclear how the cat was supposed to actually guide a bomb attached to it as it fell from the sky but the plan never got past the testing stages since the cats had a bad habit of becoming unconscious mid-drop.

JC, the site your image is hosted on doesn't support being embedded in other pages with IMG tags. :)

Hold CTRL and hit F5 on this page to force it to re-download all page elements to see what I mean.

  2. I think he means copy the texture files Kirk needs FROM GCF, then replace the new skins with them. I don't think that'll work, but it's not what you think.

No no, that's entirely pointless. If he locates the broken skins he simply needs to delete them outright so it uses the defaults.

On a related note I'm not even sure GCF Scape allows you to edit GCF files, only read from them.

  3. I also got that ending.....every time. Just can never bring myself to harvest any of the sisters. And I usually don't kill any of NPC's either. Except maybe Gil Alexander, but killing him is IMO really doing him a favor.

I just totally didn't trust Stanley and decided he had to go because I was sure he would return later in the game and inconvenience me if I left him alive. :P

  4. do this, get GCFScape, use it to navigate through the TF2 GCF files, find the textures and paste them overwriting the skins.

If that doesn't work, bugger me.

No no, you don't replace the stuff in the GCF files! And uninstalling the game should remove the GCF files entirely anyway.

  5. Warning, Bioshock 2 spoilers:

I didn't harvest any little sisters, BUT I did kill Stanley Pool and the giant slug thing in the tank which used to be Dr Alexander.

After a little research, I believe I got the 'best' ending. Her Mother doesn't drown, she gets saved. And it's nice and sunny on the surface and the Big Daddy you play as has his 'essence' extracted and put in to her to live with her forever. :)

  6. I saw that on Kotaku a day or so ago along with some other pixel-art for other games. It is pretty neat, although part of me thinks it aught to be a little darker on colour to reflect the dim indoor lighting...

    On a Bioshock-related note, I recently finished Bioshock 2.
