Magicka is on sale now! This is an awesome game that I highly recommend. It can be a little buggy sometimes, but the fun and good humour the game contains more than makes up for this.

I don't really have a top 10, but if I did Deus Ex: Human Revolution's soundtrack would definitely be on the list.

I screwed up my registration (browser crashed when registering) and it doesn't accept my password and I can't reset it. All I need to do is wait 120 days to try again.

When I wanted to make a gif from a video file, I used Media-Player-Classic to go through it frame-by-frame and doing file > Save Image, then stringing it all together in the Gimp. This took a while and a fair bit of effort but I think it was worth it (I made a couple of avatars).

A free alternative to Photoshop is a handy editor called the GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program). It's got quite a lot of features, most of which I myself have never used because I'm not an artist. It supports custom-made plugins and so on.

On a more on-topic note, that signature looks pretty cool. Was it originally from a screencap from the E3 trailer? It looks familiar.

Do you really think that the data on your hard disk disappears at the moment you delete it? Hell no! It just get the flag that the real data on your drive is overwritable. And on an HDD it must be at least 7 full low level rewrites to delete the real data. There is a free (yes it's totally free and opensource) software which you can recover files, partitions: http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk. It works on Windows too! Of course if you damaged your windows os you probably wouldn't be able to use it from the hard drive. But, the System Rescue CD bootable disk image has it: http://www.sysresccd.org/Main_Page.

Yesterday, when i was on my way back home from a 1 week trip, i thought it would be a good idea to return.

 

some of my problems were solved, some were not, and some are being solved as i type this. i still have lots of things to do, but i'll manage to find at least 30 mins a day to visit the forums.

 

regarding the emotional dilemma, it's partially gone. now the only thing i can do is wait till that hole left in my heart is filled again by someone else.

 

that trip taught me a lot. 1st and foremost, that girls do not like squads of 12 water grenadiers storming their bedroom at 5AM with bottles filled with dusty water, drums and war cries.

it also showed me the reality in the flesh. i cant describe it how it felt being there, the experience was too shocking and the love and appreciation given and received was enormous.

This reminds me of an Invaders-style game where you had to shoot up aliens, but each alien you killed represented some random file on your computer.

Wow this must have passed me by, I never noticed any announcements about this. Still, I already own Portal. Great game.

If I had not reset my stats a while back, I'd probably have something crazy like 300-400 hours as a Spy. Currently it's showing 177.1 hours.

From all what i've been hearing i think i really should get this game. Probably going to order it soon.

It's a pretty good game, I personally think it has been well worth the money I paid for it.

I'm not sure what time it is for you where you are, but if it's going to have people on it it's 'usually' anywhere from 7PM UTC (I think that's the right designation for the time). That's the best time to try. I know some people were on it earlier. I however was in Deus Ex: Human Revolution hiding bodies in air vents.

I'll probably be on it another time though.

We should have a game together.
