You throw the jar at enemies and anyone in the AOE takes minicrits. It also puts out fires on friendly players.

It also reveals cloaked enemy spies.

I swear this was scheduled for July 30th at 9pm, so I missed it. It didn't send me any notifications either.

Sometimes when I launch a game, Steam appears to lock up. It usually coincides with an update being released, and it locks up temporarily whilst it starts to download stuff, and eventually unfreezes (not necessarily because the download has finished). It's annoying but all I need to do is wait. How long have you left it frozen for? Or do you lose patience and kill it within something like 20 seconds? It might be worth waiting and seeing what happens.

My subscriber copy just arrived. It was a special golden colour and contained an 8-page review of the game. Needless to say, I think my pre-order of the game was quite justified (I pre-ordered it a while ago).

Anyone else in the UK on these forums subscribed to PC Gamer who has their copy with the review yet?

I have a cornucopia of specialized software that I use, some of which is not compatible with 7 or at least the 64 bit version.

So a little while ago, i let my brother play on my account. He was gonna play Counter-strike source with some of his friends. Now of course, he downloads a cheat, and gets me VAC banned, well i wouldn't mind if it was only CSS because i rarely play it. But i get banned from ALL the source games?! "Who the fuck designed this?!" -Ross scott (obviously).

So now, i can't play Day of defeat: Source and insurgency, all because my brother cheated on Counter strike. Is there no way to get unbanned ? Ive send a message to steam and told them my situation (now of course i have responsibility for my account, can't argue with that), and asked if they could unban me. Wouldn't it be enough with banning me from CSS ? I don't get it....

To the best of my knowledge, VAC bans by engine. It's why you have to be especially careful with your account and who you share it with. Sorry.

The concept intrigues me and I've seen a few videos. I might get it, but I'll almost certainly wait for some reviews before making a decision.

I got it on offer on Steam a while back but only played the DLC (there's something slightly disconcerting about being pursued by a guy with no eyes). I should probably devote some time to this I think...

Maybe instead of making our own server, we should just all meet in a third party one. It seems more realistic at the moment.

I'm afraid the only solution is to press on regardless. It's a horror game, it's meant to be scary. I'm afraid if you can't handle it, there's not a lot anyone can really do except advise that you play another game.
