i see that happening one of two ways in a way that could work out for one of 3 of us, Ross could just decide to not jump in the portal thereby saying to the audience i'm done. he could kill Gordon off, but we both know that Ross isn't the type to just up and screw his watchers, or Ross could just be like challenge accepted and resume the series into HL2. i can see an interesting plot angle being that the 20 years wasn't instant, he was awake for it all. (imagine such a hell, eugh.)
