This is the last time I vote on this poll.

It finally installed after disabling the real-time malware protection. I did not need to close any programs (I chose to ignore the list of running tasks it complained about.) but I did need to reboot, which pretty much equals having to close running tasks to finalize an installation.

I love Crysis, and also old DOS games like Skyroads, SOS, Biomenace, Duke 1, etc.

Always had a soft spot for a game called Demonstar. A spaceshooter from 1999.

The balance between tension and aggravation is very sensitive. If a game is just a bit too difficult people will find themselves forced to repeat the same difficult section over and over again until muscle memory kicks in. There is nothing tense or immersive about that. . .

I have really wanted to pick it up, but I find the checkpoint-only save system very off putting. The game is a bargain purchase nowadays so I probably have no excuse to complain any more.

The STALKER games are among my all time favourite games.

I don't think STALKER Shadow of Chernobyl looks that dated without any mods. Complete does beautify it though, I'll have to admit that.

The Unreal soundtrack is in umx files, which are slightly modified MOD format. XMPlay is a nifty little audio player that can play them natively. You can use it to record the soundtrack to wave/mp3/etc. files.
