That used to be Nagisa's job, but she kinda floated off into the distance. She was a genius coder from what I remember, so she had the reins on the site setup. After a patch on the security, we ended up losing rep and titles and I'm not sure if Nagisa couldn't find a fix or just figured it wasn't worth her time (which it probably wasn't)

Not CS:GO...
My hard drive crapped the bed as it usually does, but in the middle of a match, so I ended up getting a one week ban.

Edit: Bull... You ninja'd me. Good god, that hasn't happened to me since Psychotic and I would square off in the forum games...

The sunset/ sunrise are great, but nothing in that game can visually best the water. That shit is GORGEOUS.

Same score for User.

It was almost never used to my knowledge. Not sure if it went down the same time as rep and Titles. I miss those. I feel like the place died down after those went away. Dunno why, but I feel like it had an effect.

One of the few metal bands I enjoy listening to. Icarus Lives has to be my favorite track from them.

Well, seeing as you've now decided to abide by our rules and regulations, I guess I'll make the effort to extend a welcoming handshake to you sir. Welcome to the forums, but don't get any funny ideas. I'm not your pal, and don't even think you're getting your grubby little hands on my money.
Serious mode: Hey man, I think everybody's made a dupe thread on accident before. You just got it out of the way ASAP!

Welcome to the forums!

Yeah, go to the Introduce Yourself thread.

If Morgan Freeman has two apples and eats three bananas, how many times has Gabe Newell gone to the gym in the past year?
Twice, once on January 2nd, 2013 and once on January 2nd, 2014.

It may look small, but if you multiply the length by the diameter, add that to the quotient of the weight over the girth, and then divide that all by the angle of the horn, you'll find that Evil Woona has an adjusted horn size of 5.7 inches.

Hey guys, I had a question I wanted to ask around. When's the last time one of you guys rewatched a Season 1 episode. I just watched Ticket Master again today, and for even one of the less notable of Season 1's eps, to me it felt almost like an entirely different show. If you don't want to here another one of Foal's annoying speeches about how he feels like the new seasons aren't as good, don't touch those spoiler tags and keep your opinions of me somewhat in tact

The characters are feel so different watching back on these. Compared to the new seasons, they seem so much less... human. Some of their traits (again Pinkie is a prime example to me) have been so extensively extrapolated from their original states. Sure, she laughed in the face of terror and darkness. Of course she did some silly things. But she still had a serious side, and while it may have been riddled with her characteristic silliness, she still donned a serious mindset when the occasion required it. Now, the silliness is kind of always on and to me it makes her character less relatable and believable than she used to be.
Same goes with Fluttershy. Her timidity has been completely blown out of proportion, though it's recovered since Season 3. She was shy and afraid of things deemed to be scary, but her fear was quiet and low-key. She would simply hide from something she found uncomfortable. Now she practically has panick attacks any time something happens (Hurricane Fluttershy vs. Dragonshy as a comparison)
Rainbow Dash, even with extremity being her thing, has gone extreme beyond my believability. She always made thigs seem and feel more dramatic than they were with her way of speaking, and I know people who are like that, which is why I enjoyed her character. But now it's like anything she enjoys deserves a fanfair and a midair stunt. Her reaction to the play in Rarity Takes Manhattan, for example. She sees a musical and does a backflip. Yet in Season 1, her lifelong idols commend her and thank her and she's simply left stammering.
I honestly don't know if what I'm saying is coherent at all, because it's midnight and I'm rambling like a maniac. But I do know that going back and wathing Season 1, something about it just feels magical and real at the sane time, and it just feels so perfect. But whatevs. I am the minority opinion from how it seems, and I'd love hearing from you guys about your opinions on this. But before you do post a response, I want to suggest that you watch any Season 1 episode of your choosing and compare it to the newer episodes.

My opinion is very obviously in the minority, forcing me to question my opinions. Time to watch the episode 6 more times before deciding whether I can fit in with you guys or be an individual

Also, I finally got around to reading all of Moonstuck in (so far, 6-ish hours) and I saw this.

You're just god damned everywhere, aren't you? Start making more YouTube videos you nerd. I had nothing but the Anthology to vote for on multiple accounts to try getting you on the top 10 of the year (So I didn't bother).
In case you couldn't tell, all of that was total verbal irony. Luv ya dood!

Oh, that's a really old one. I'm aware that the paragraphs are crazy, but I intended to have like one for each of the Mane 6. I kind of regard it as a decent project but not something I take too much pride in.
I had linked my fic earlier that's a work in progress. The password is AF if you actually wanted to (or anyone else for that matter).

He was really good with his description as well. I left a review and all that jazz too.
Hey Twilight, you should read my fic...
-
Thing is, I still enjoy watching Pinkie in S1. That's why I feel like it's the show steadily changing the humor. Whatever, it's not a big deal.

I'll read that fic, or at least as much as I can before the overwhelming desire to work on my own takes prevalence.
After Reading: That was absolutely gorgeous. A big thank you Twilight for giving me a good hour of happiness. I may have just rediscovered my passion to read.

More Civ 5. Must... play... Civ 5...

I recommended Far Cry 3 to him, and therefore assume all credit for anything he ever says, ever.

A lot of ambiance and white noise to calm me down.

I dunno. Maybe I've subconsciously rebuked that kind of humor since it's that exact behavior that caused me so much pain in my early high school years, so whenever I notice it I get a sense of incredible embarassment, even for an unreal animated pony.

Bats was a... different episode. I was talking more about Castle-mania. Bats was all about Conservationism. Not so much of it was friendship based as most episodes.
With the Apple to the Core, yeah, Pinkie was happy and having them as family meant a lot to her, but I'm talking about the way she does things. Before she was generally silly but passable for a believable character. She had her funny moments, but she didn't constantly make these crazy, wacky remarks on things. She might giggle at the ghosties, but 20 straight seconds of jubilant comments on how scary monsters are? It's just a little too far.
What I find incredibly ironic is that Rarity is becoming more and more likeable. She's always been believable, because everybody knows a big-headed diva. But now she's becoming more modest about her work and her generosity shows much more.
Like you were saying, it's like they're growing up (Except Pinkie). And I get that they'd make that progression, since it's a series, and not just a one episode at a time cartoon. I just feel likeit takes away that magic that the show used to have.
