I don't think you'd do very well at a casino Weebs.
"Oh, I think I'm gonna quit since I've won $2,000 already. Wouldn't want to use my luck to acquire money from you filthy rich institutions. That would be such a dick move."

Just now saw your best faces thing, Twilight. I'm disappointed you didn't like the "I do" face...
-
With so few people who entered, I wanted to kinda drag it out just in case. Also, Luis that counts as an entry, so cool. And the winner is...
(Breaks to commercial while rapidly scribbling names and cutting them up to put in a hat.)
KAWEEBO, YOU ARE OUR WINNER! COME ON DOWN!
Alrighty, I'll gift you the game right now (assuming I recognize your steam name or have you nicknamed).
Thanks for playing everybody! We should start spreading the word on this event, though, because 5 contestants is hardly fun.

Typing as I watch. I'm absolutely loving this.
The humor so far is far better than I've become used to this season. While I find it Ironic that the pony New York is the nice city. Ah, now I'm starting to get it, though. Everyone's a jackass except the people who they've helped.
(Also Rarity's white, so she got the taxi so easily)[/badjoke]
Holy sweet Jesus, Ashley Ball's formal/British accent is awesome. And the receptionist sounds funny hurrr.
Oh, okay. Rarity gets taken advantage of. Oh wow, this is like... a realistic situation. I'm loving all of it. For once, Rarity's hysteria is actually reasonable for once.
Oh gosh, the guilt tripping. It's incredible. "CONGRATU-PONY-LATIONS" absolutely killed me.
I don't understand how the ponies think these dresses are good, but okay...
Second song was 200% better than the first.
AAAAAAND that's a nod to the fanbase, I should think. The whole, "Applejack, you're honesty and you're acting like I always do."
Oh man, I was actually worried Rarity would be gone for some time in the season. Guess that's how much the show's changed on me.
All in all, best episode this season. This was a Season 1 quality show I'm seeing right here and it's really got me excited!

Also, as I couldn't find them anywhere on google, I took the liberty of uploading these funny screenshots:

I may or may not add mustaches soon...

Attempted suicide is only considered a crime so that you can be detained and held in safety while you're tested and/or treated. Killing oneself is not a proper response to man's need to live, so it's ruled as an extremely abnormal behavior. In hopes that the abnormal behavior is reversible by either therapy or medication, attempting individuals are simply being given the best chance possible to not waste their life, as it is the most precious gift you've ever received.
I believe that anybody who wants to commit suicide should be counseled and helped if doing so will prevent them from carrying out the act. However, my stipulation is that people who are suffering from terminal illnesses, are brain-dead, or are in a vegetative state from diseases like Alzheimer's, have every right to have the plug pulled upon their own wishes, even if their family doesn't think they should, as it is a matter of one's own right to their body. If I couldn't remember my own sister's face or I was in constant pain or I was simply a mass on a bed, unable to think, I can't think of anything I'd rather be than dead.

Well, what you said is true, but with the technology we have and the little amount of formal training the enemy had, 5000 is still a high body count. It's awful that anyone loses their life for their country when they aren't really even helping their country with anything. The whole war was a political catastrophe brought on by 9/11 and the supposed WMD's we never found. When the war started, it had a great amount of public support because of the 9/11 incidents. But after that, nobody cared. We should've pulled out by '06-'07 at the latest. It's a shame it lasted so long. And we still have the Afghanistan, Iran, Libya, Egypt, and Syria crises left that we need to get through (hopefully without putting troops in harm's way)

It's like looking at a guy with six fingers on his hand. It just looks... odd. I don't play guitar, so I have no understanding why more than 6 strings would be needed. Different chord formats? More pitch range?

My newly acquired Skyrim and some YouTube videos.

Killing time. Well, that's basically every time I post hear, right?

The Brony Herd Census is doing their yearly roundup of the status of the fandom, if you feel like your "side" of things is underrepresented (or if you want to bolster your already popular opinion) then hit up this link here: http://www.equestriadaily.com/2013/12/2014-brony-herd-census-launches.html

I don't need none of your sass tonight.
Oh god I lost it.
On the other hand, I took it, and I feel like either I really embellish myself on surveys though I try not to, or I'm just fucking awesome. We'll assume the former is correct

Banned because I'm cool like that...

Dafuq did you just say about me?

Going to drive my dad up to whatever impound his car is at. I guess your license doesn't get revoked until you're deemed guilty.

Hello, old friend. It's been a while, eh?
So I woke up early this morning and went downstairs to find a note that simply said :
"Went to pick up Dad - Mom"
I'd assumed Dad had been hanging out with friends and needed a ride home because he was drunk and thought nothing of it. Then, after several hours of watching videos, I went downstairs to grab some food. Dad was sitting in the TV room on his laptop and says hi. He then tells me that he might need my help today because he got himself into a lot of trouble.
My dad got pulled over for a DUI.
I'm not sure how our family's going to deal with this. It's going to cost a fucking boat full of money to pay for everything. He might lose his license. Fuck, he might lose his fucking job. After 20 years, he finally gets a stable job that won't lay him off when the company makes lower profits, and he goes and puts it in jeopardy with this.
Can't say I'm surprised this happened. He's always been the kind of person who thinks he's okay to drive, and I'm sure in this case he was. But when you drive as fast as he does, you get pulled over for speeding. And even if you think you're okay, the car still smells and you still smell and then the cop pulls you out and tests you and now you're in a world of shit.
Now, if he does lose his job, it's going to be near impossible to get a new one. My mom's income is enough to keep us alive, but certainly not comfortably. I don't know what to expect, but it won't be good.

No, I'm aware of the reference. It's been used in several other shows and movies. I just don't like it used in that context as it's over something insignificant. Idunno. Again, I've been a bit of a pessimist lately. Maybe I just didn't like the episode because it turned my favorite character into a fuggin bat (and it did feel very short for some reason), and I'm just trying to pick it apart.
Carry on, gents.

Bleh.
I feel like I'm simply starting to see negativity in a lot of things rather than positives, as my world's kind of falling apart at the moment. But I'll do my best to be as fair as possible.
Firstly, I too enjoyed the concept of adding that element of a difficult decision between personal opinion and general consensus of what is right. As far as themes, concepts, and morals are concerned, this is a good episode.
However, I just didn't really enjoy the dialogue at all. The animation is top notch, as it's been all year, but the writing just felt so forced. "THINK ABOUT THE CIDER" made me groan. Pinkie Pie was actually funny this episode, so no complaints on that front. But I'm used to there being very little Rarity, as typically, unless the episode is about her, she tends to take a backseat. This time, Twilight took the position along with Pinkie, which is very different from the usual dynamic, and it caught me off-guard, because I'm not used to experiencing much of Rarity's character of late like you did in S1. I still feel like the dynamics and characters themselves have changed since the first season, and it only serves to sour my mood further, as I feel like it makes the show of a lesser quality than it used to be.

Shelter. For a 68 on Metacritic, this game is awesome. Very beautiful art design for how limited the graphics are. The concept is definitely fresh and new, and it certainly can pull at the heartstrings, especially when you're like me and you start with 5 cubs and end with 2. Check it out, as it's on sale right now:

One of the greatest quotes of movie history:
George Bailey: Just a minute... just a minute. Now, hold on, Mr. Potter. You're right when you say my father was no businessman. I know that. Why he ever started this cheap, penny-ante Building and Loan, I'll never know. But neither you nor anyone else can say anything against his character, because his whole life was... why, in the 25 years since he and his brother, Uncle Billy, started this thing, he never once thought of himself. Isn't that right, Uncle Billy? He didn't save enough money to send Harry away to college, let alone me. But he did help a few people get out of your slums, Mr. Potter, and what's wrong with that? Why... here, you're all businessmen here. Doesn't it make them better citizens? Doesn't it make them better customers? You... you said... what'd you say a minute ago? They had to wait and save their money before they even ought to think of a decent home. Wait? Wait for what? Until their children grow up and leave them? Until they're so old and broken down that they... Do you know how long it takes a working man to save $5,000? Just remember this, Mr. Potter, that this rabble you're talking about... they do most of the working and paying and living and dying in this community. Well, is it too much to have them work and pay and live and die in a couple of decent rooms and a bath? Anyway, my father didn't think so. People were human beings to him. But to you, a warped, frustrated old man, they're cattle. Well in my book, my father died a much richer man than you'll ever be!
