  1. I made my mom coffee this morning, so she agreed to watch a couple episodes of MLP. These episodes were Over a Barrel (Appleoosa) and Bird in the Hoof (Philomena).

She said it was cute and silly and not half bad (she also burst out laughing when Celestia fake sips her tea and says "Gotcha."

  2. Truth is, I've got a big vocabulary, which is why it can be hard to tell.

My IQ is somewhere in the 150s-160s, I think. I was told by a doctor before that I could be a part of MENSA, so yeah.

the weapon you attach is better than

that's pretty cool than other weapon.

Oh buddy, you've got a LOT to learn about BBCode and the UCP. I'll PM you the details. Meanwhile, I want an Incendiary Lemon Launcher...

  4. The plot and premise were fantastic.

    The animation was superb.

    The voice acting was meh.

The dialogue was aggravatingly spaced out but not terrible.

The "camera" work (shot angles and stuff) was doody. Did not like.

Overall, it wasn't half bad. I honestly wish that could be the premise of a Hasbro-made episode. The BBBFF style animation was probably the most gorgeous fanmade shit I've ever seen. If the dialogue and angles and stuff were fixed up and everything else was polished up, I would certainly be able to put it above almost any Season 3 episode (most of which I can't even remember the titles of because of their badnessness.)

  5. Hey, after yesterday's forum maintenance, I've noticed the rep system is a little wonky. There are no numbers next to the +/- indicators for rep. Just wondering what's up with that. Thanks! :D

Edit: I looked into it more and when you click on the "User Reputation" under the member's profile, the page displays this message:

    General Error

    SQL ERROR [ mysql4 ]

You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'AND `type` != -1 ORDER BY id' at line 1 [1064]

    Hope this helps! :D

  6. Contemplating a couple things.

    First the basics:

If I have two graphics cards (one for each monitor), is it okay to mix and match brands (an Nvidia card for my main gaming monitor and the AMD for my side monitor(s)?)

Also, if you weren't aware, my birthday is coming soon. I'm expecting to get a substantial amount of spending money, and I'm wondering how I should spend it. There are two choices:

A pair of Sennheiser PC 363D Headphones (basically the most top of the line cans you can get)

    OR

An Nvidia GTX 570 for gaming.

Both will be heavily used and equally loved, so I'm not sure which I should get first and which I should wait on for my first National Guard check when I enlist...

All input would be greatly appreciated.

  7. Definition: 'Love' is making a shot to the knees of a target 120 kilometers away using an Aratech sniper rifle with a tri-light scope. Love is knowing your target, putting them in your targeting reticule, and together, achieving a singular purpose against statistically long odds.

Because scopes can break physics and see around the curvatures of the earth...

  8. So my friends were in AP European History today. I was aiding for my foods teacher.

The Euro class was playing a pop-culture trivia game with boys vs. girls for fun, where the prize was a large plate of cookies. The final question the teacher asked (which also determined the winner) was "What is the name of the My Little Pony character who was recently turned into an Alicorn?"

Now, each team was allowed one phone lifeline. From what I was told, about every single person on the guy's team said something along the lines of "If only Zach were here," or "Call Zach." So I get a call from them about this and tell them "Twilight Sparkle, why?"

All the sudden, I hear cheering over the phone from the guys and a shitload of laughing.

And now, I'm eating my portion of the prize.

I hope I've set an example for everyone. Whether or not you're a brony or a furry, or any sort of deviant, if you can still meld in with society and be seen by others as an okay guy, your weirdness actually makes you cooler. Nobody called me a 3-letter "F" word for liking the show. They just knew I was the guy to call. Sure, they get on me about it, but I get along with them and hang out with them all the time, so it's just meaningless joking for laughs.

TL;DR: Being a brony is pretty cool.

  9. Getting irritated with this computer and hoping somebody can help me:

Right now, my screen resolution is stuck at 640x480. The computer was left on overnight and for some reason, when I woke it up, it had reverted to this resolution.

When I go into the display options to change the resolution back to 1280x1024, it tells me that my monitor is a "Flat Panel Monitor (640x480)," implying that 640x480 is the highest the resolution can go, when obviously that's not the case, as it was at 1280x1024 yesterday.

    Help please?

  10. I like the remake of Most Wanted. Crappy isn't the word I'd use about it. It has its flaws yes but I enjoy it overall. I really love the Autolog features for one.

So yeah, I like EA. Sue me, whatever.

You don't like EA, is what it seems to me. You like all the companies that EA has swallowed and made work. Battlefield 3 is a pretty great game. It's made by DICE, but published by EA, who actually destroyed some features of the game that DICE wanted.

Mass Effect is produced by BioWare, but because EA bought them out, they get a massive chunk of the profits from those games.

People Can Fly were a really easy target for EA. They were for the most part an indie game company. Then EA gobbled them up and said "MAKE THE EPIC POTTYMOUTH GAME!"

NFS is one of the few EA games that is actually MADE BY EA. And yea, it's a good series, and I'll certainly concede that.

But EA is just a modern-day Standard Oil. They blanket monopolize, smothering small, GOOD companies with their oodles of money and releasing their games and taking the money they earned with only EA's ridiculous moderation and deadlines (which certainly don't help) to thank.

They actually did a study on Extrinsic and Intrinsic motivation. Employees are far more productive and happy in an intrinsically motivating work environment (Valve style, where you work on what you want, when you want) than an extrinsic (EA style, where met deadlines and good products are rewarded with continued employment and the occasional raise.)

I personally think Valve's games are 100 times better than anything EA pops out. TF2 has lasted 6 years for a reason, whereas Call of Duty gets a new installment every year (if you want an EA example, every sports game by them, ever) but the mechanics stay the same and hardly anything gets seriously changed from the previous.

TL;DR : EA sucks because they don't do anything. They just collect money because they own everyone's asses.
