  1. I fixed the spelling in the first test chamber and addressed all your complaints on the second. The lights on the first were meant to draw the players attention upwards, but seemed to have the opposite effect, so I might change that soon.

For the second map, the changes are:

1.A laser field in the pit, deactivated by pushing the three buttons.

2.An Arial Faith Plate in a pit next to the original, in case you don't have any portals when you fall down there after the lasers are deactivated.

3.The turret room has been redesigned. Turrets are a bit more of a threat (but still easy to get past), bounce gel is gone, and there is a way to get back to the box if you miss it the first time.

Let me know if I overlooked anything or made any new errors. I will also be playing and reviewing your maps soon!

    EDIT:

    A Slight Drop:

This was a fun little test that I enjoyed. It was pretty easy, but at least difficult enough to where iI felt I accomplished something. I gave this one a good rating.

    Bisection:

This was very brief. I feel like this would be a good beginning room to a larger test chamber, but not by itself.

    Burglary Scenario A:

Would not load for some reason, so I'll try that one again later.

    Laser-Cube Conundrum:

It's a bit confusing not having the buttons show what they connect to, but other than that it was a good test chamber.

I'll let you know when I've played Think Outside The Cube and Burglary Scenario A.

  2. I'm creating this topic so that all the Accursed Farmers can share maps made with the Perpetual Testing Initiative map maker. Or any custom Portal 2 maps, if you're too fancy for the basic one.

I just wanted to get some exposure and hopefully some feedback for my maps, and I invite you all to do the same. Just two so far, but I will take into account any helpful criticism into future maps.

Also, since I made the maps, I knew the solution from the start, so I don't know how easy/hard they are.

  3. "Black Mesa doesn't lock their workers in, Freeman, you're just being paranoid."

"Black Mesa isn't frivolously spending grant money on a giant nut-cracking room, Freeman, you're just being paranoid."

  4. Now that I think about it, I bet the programmers were trying to rig the anti-mass spectrometer to open up the all-stripper universe, but accidentally got xen instead.

It's funny how much difference a few wrong coordinates can make. Those strippers were probably bloodthirsty vampires anyway, though I'll admit that might have made them even more attractive.

Until they kill you or worse. The worse being that they're all Twilight fans.

  5. Barney: "Now, about that beer I owe you."

Gordon: "Wait, you're that bastard that sent that soldier to kill me, aren't you?"

Barney: "It's me, Gordon! Barney, from Black Mesa!"

Gordon: "Yeah, I'm pretty sure I shot you. But if you think that and a beer is going to make up for trying to kill me, you're wrong."

  6. "I'm Alyx Vance. My father worked with you, back in Black Mesa. I'm sure you don't remember me though. Man of few words, aren't you?"

How are you supposed to respond to that?

Wow, this is certainly an exercise in Improv comedy.

"I just had a near death experience. Again. Then you threw a flash-bang in my face! Thanks for saving my life and all, but don't expect my whole life story after that. I'm stressed. I need some pills..."

  7. I'm being serious here. They are supposedly working on Ricochet 2. When valve works on a project they don't abandon it so Ricochet 2 is gonna be valve's next release.

What he's saying is Valve's not actually working on it at all. Can't abandon something that doesn't exist. But then again, surely a corporation would never lie to us.

  8. With your ears.

That isn't what I meant at all, and you know it, and that wasn't even funny because it was so obvious.

So was I wrong? Did you just electrically stimulate the sound-receiving part of your brain directly, bypassing the need for ears? 'cause that would be cool, and I congratulate you on inventing Brain-Radio haha

  9. I haven't played Ricochet, but I saw a video of it. Valve's pretty awesome (if a bit slow), so if they really are working on a Ricochet 2 (which I sincerely doubt) they probably could make it really cool. But that's probably code for HL3, because, ya know, Valve can't count to three, so they needed a name with a two in it instead.
