  1. After going through intense reflexion, i believe im the sort of guy who enjoys more a game with excellent story than anything else.

That why i dislike games with a story that:

1 Does not allow you to interact with it even one bit

2 Tries to hammer an opinion inside your head without presenting good arguments

3 That builds a gigantic hype but in the big picture is just an overly used concept

4 Does not make you think about it

I guess thats why i think Human Revolutions was a best game than skyrim this year, the imperial vs stormcloaks war just feel so stupid, even the developers mock it, i recall one of the companions stating "Who cares for the honor of a man-god who died hundreds of years ago, give me something worth drawing my sword for" or something like that.

  2. So i was browsing youtube and found something i wasnt aware of (again).

Deus Ex: HR doesnt have 4 endings, it has 12 endings as a matter of fact, the different endings are only achieved through different behaviors during your playthroughs.

Adam's reflexions of his choice at the end are changed by how you played the game (either being a cold blooded jackass, a friendly non-lethal agent, and being at the middle).

To see the difference, just pay attention to Adam's monologue at the middle of the videos.

    - Good: Darrow

    - Good: Sarif

    - Good: Taggart

    - Good: Self-Destruct

    - Evil: Darrow

  3. The new engineer set needs to be nerfed ASAP.

step 1: Build all your stuff in a sentry nest (so the other engineers protect your stuff from spies)

step 2: Find a good spot to see incoming fully charged doctors.

step 3: Spam your new fancy shotgun all over the medics when they are about to release their ubers.

step 4: teleport back to spawn

    step 5: repeat

    step 6:???

    step 7: profit

  4. Those weapons kinda could work, but they need certain limitations:

    1. The new Engineer shotgun cant take medigun charge from a fully charged doctor.

    2. The new wrench needs a reload time ( a really long one).

    3. The new axe needs a downside since the ability to inflict melee damage in 2 targets at once, one being healed constantly, can be really useful sometimes if you can play pyro.

This are some patches that could be implemented, the ManMelter removes any kind of long range attack (where the crits would be more useful for the pyro), and this can teach most pyros they can actually help their teammates when they are on fire. Until i see some real gameplay footage im not sure if the manmelter will be THAT OP. Same goes for the new flamethrower

(of course the pubs that support 16 vs 16 matches in small close quarters maps will be filled with more M1, but unless those pyros learn to not mindless charge at the the enemy base they will most likely die after a short, but annoying, charge. Without having the chance to load their "Mmmph").

  6. Deus Ex: HR

I liked everything about the game: the story, the gameplay, the characters.

It has his fair share of glitches, but nothing that can ruin the gameplay (AKA crashes, lots of crashes), myself, i do like seeing a funny glitch every now and then.

This was probably one of the few shooters that implemented the health regenaration system correctly, its hardly exploitable, it takes a long time to regenarate a reasonable health and it serves the function of "stopping" the player from getting paranoid with his health just because he cant find a med-kit.

Also, i love the "non-lethal" feature, it makes you say "i have to stop this guy, but does he really need to die? Is it the best thing to happen right now?" and makes you take the challenge of doing as much as you can without taking a human life.

It doesnt have half the replay value of the first Deus Ex, but still it got me to make 2-3 runs of it, way more than any game lately.

Alyxx, forgive me if my eyes are fooling me, but i only see 9 games on the list. I guess you can please a few fanboys and put SR3 on that list, if you want to.

  7. This is a random thread. For random things. Random example: I'm going to randomly post random song lyrics in a random fashion. Random.

    Mother

    Will you

    Keep me

    Hold me?

    Father

    Be there

    Strong for

    Me!

    Demons await

    Where the mighty rivers run

    Children sail on!

    Sail on!
