  1. You know, I don't remember that big lazer cannon ever being in the game before.

Yep. It's a Xen sentry cannon. It's the only one in this game and any other game in the Half-Life universe. Looks kind of thrown-together to me, like the Xenians created this thing very quickly and shoddily to protect themselves from the humans. I can only imagine if, one day, we return to Xen to find much more sophisticated Xen sentry cannons that are much more difficult to beat than taking a couple of rockets to it.

  2. Internet. Internet never changes.

Well, my thoughts on the matter is that it was inevitable as more people got onto the Internet and it has become, basically, an appliance rather than some newfangled technology. But I think that the Internet has changed for the better. I remember just a dozen years ago, I couldn't watch videos like I do now. Accursed Farms could not exist because the technology for the lay person did not allow for such. I could possibly download the video, but the megabyte-age that would be required on dial-up speeds would take DAYS to download a single video. I remember one time being connected for over a week just to download a single video. Now I can download gigabytes of data in a single hour.

This has opened up a wide berth of possibilities for the better. And the worse. It's human nature.

Life on the Internet has changed.

    (Apologies to Fallout.)

  3. Yep. That's the main reason we suggested TGWTG in the first place for Ross. Seemed like the Channel Awesome people are...well, awesome in that regard. Even the people's videos I don't really care for (like the individuals involved in WTFIWWY), I'm grateful that they have an outlet with which they can create videos to say what they want to say.

  4. Yer killing me, Ross! (But in a good way.)

I had just finished typing up the subtitles for Eternam (haven't synced them yet) and I check the site and you already have another episode of RGD up! AUGH! :)

It could be a bit before I have both RGDs up. Watch that several more Freeman's Minds will be up by then. ;)

  5. Thanks! If you desire, however, you can simply point out where the errors are and I'll fix them in the master copy I keep. I had to compare the documents in Word to see what the difference was. I have fixed it in the master copy, though, and have re-uploaded it. :)

  6. He's passed most of that already. I don't know what "spinning stars" you're referring to.

He's entering the Lambda Complex (a long confusing maze) that will eventually transport Freeman to Xen.

The spinning stars were at the part where he had to bring the scientists to the door to unlock it (specific, I know) - it was a room with a solar system model or something that was actually just a scientist blender you had to activate to move them out of the way? Anyway, I'm pretty sure it was right before the room where you use the laser to blow up the wall so I think it's passed. It doesn't help that he isn't picking up the weapons he should have at this point, haha. Those were pretty much the biggest landmarks I can remember - has he gone by all the available weapons yet?

So he's on his way to the part with the reactor and the exploding catwalks - is that also the part with the giant fan?

And then after that, the portal rooms and then straight to zen? Man, I had no idea how close it was!

The spinning "surgical unit" was already passed, so was the giant fan that blows you up to the ceiling, as well as the laser bolt into the wall.

He just has the long way to activate the two reactors (which require swimming through water) and traveling from one end of the complex to the other to do so, to activate the teleportation orbs and provide power to the Xen transport. There are a lot of big scenes here, from the gluon gun to the long jump module, to the bolts of electricity, to the nearly ceaseless number of agrunts, to more swimming, to the teleportation tower, before having to wait in the Xen teleporter room for the portal to Xen, then all of Xen.

Probably a good twenty more episodes left? I'm pegging the last episode to be Episode 75, but who knows? He might make it to Episode 100. ;)
