Granted but now everything is all mixed together. I wish I had more energy through the day.

Communism is the idea that there is no private ownership of anything and, therefore, everyone is equal (EVERYONE) which requires the dissolution of the state. This kind of communism cannot possibly work because of human nature.

I'd try to help you identify it but I'm afraid you'll go all Gordon Freeman on me and shout "DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE!"

What is Your Favourite Freeman's Mind Quote/Episode/Moment
danielsangeo replied to Trickiert's topic in Freeman's Mind
I also love the musings that reveal just what kind of person Freeman is. Like from Episode 28: "Hm, I really am bummed they've identified me, though. That means I'm a fugitive now. So, they've probably frozen my bank accounts. I need to get back to Massachusetts. I have about $10,000 in gold buried in Harold Parker State Forest that I put there for exactly this kind of situation. Now, I didn't anticipate I was going to get framed like this. I put it there so in case I got embezzling, I'd have some sort of exit strategy. "Now, granted, $10,000 will only get me so far here. But, if I can make it to India, I can live like a king with that kind of money. The American dollar goes a lot farther there. Maiṁ apanē na'ē bhagavāna hūm̐ . Mērē sāmanē ghuṭanē. I'm going to need a fake ID. I'll check in with Eddie once I get out of here. He can probably hook something up for me. I'm going to need a car, too, but that shouldn't be too difficult. I can just take some motorist hostage with my machine gun and drive to Massachusetts that way. Going to be a long drive." This is a very long quote in comparison to others posted here and probably not the funniest or anything (after all, Freeman is basically just walking through nondescript tunnels at this point), but what I see here is a lot of character building for what Ross is trying to make Freeman into: a self-centered asshole with delusions of grandeur, which runs in stark contrast to the kind of character Half-Life 2 creates for Gordon as "The One Free Man" and looked up to as some sort of messianic figure. I adore that kind of thing. -
The most recent movie I saw is "Epic". 7/10 Couldn't stand the slug and snail characters (and they were in it a lot!) and I felt the villains just didn't have a strong enough motivations, but overall, a pretty good flick. The interactions between the main character and the supporting characters was very good and the visuals and sound were just awesome! My favorite scene: Probably a good movie to watch on the small screen, but perhaps not in the theater.

Granted, but now all public places require you to wear pants, which are defined as outside your own preferences. I wish I could come up with something that would be hard for others to corrupt.

For the record, Freeman is a theoretical physicist and badass. I'm not sure he's a singer.

Granted, but now your air conditioner becomes sentient and capable of voluntary movements. It keeps you up when you try to sleep by singing Christmas carols. I wish these blisters on my feet I got from bad shoes would heal quickly.

I love the random musings that Freeman has throughout the series, which usually only serve as humor (which is not a bad thing!). However, in this episode, the random musings about the Xenians after the Manta dropped off the agrunt and the vort served to foreshadow the eventual entry to Xen. I thought that was really smart. Freeman was hypothesizing that dropping the two aliens off from such a height meant that the Xenian borderworld (even if he doesn't know the name yet) necessarily has lower gravity. Also, I loved the musings about base-12 style math. I looked it up while doing the subtitles (had to make sure I spelled "duodecimal" correctly) and my brain hurts trying to understand it. We probably would be farther along technologically if we had 12 fingers. And don't sweat the middle-finger, folks. Another rude gesture would've been invented and then you would be saying what would happen to that gesture if we only had five fingers. A middle-finger extended isn't inherently rude; we just believe it to be so. This episode, while not as high on humor or action, served a larger purpose: foreshadowing Xen. And it helps to prepare for the tripmine warehouse for episode 47 which I believe will have a lot of capacity for humor. Can't wait!

Subtitles for Episode 46 are up! If anyone watched the stream, thanks for watching. As stated previously, this will probably be the last stream I do because I'm due to start schooling at the end of June and I need to prepare and then concentrate on that. I will continue to do the subtitles for Accursed Farms, but it's probable that they won't come out the same day as the videos' release for the foreseeable future. My apologies to Ross in advance for that. I will get to the subtitles for future videos as soon as I possibly can but school comes first. Shouldn't be more than a couple days afterwards.

I think typing subtitles with 12 fingers on a QWERTY keyboard would be fairly difficult... freeman_s_mind_episode_46_en.srt

Freeman's Mind - Episode 46 subtitling Livestreaming is now live! [stream account canceled] With regards to the loss of memory, that's pretty standard to remember some things later but not others. It's entirely possible that Freeman would remember the sniper from the end of On a Rail but not other things. Like the ninjas.

Well, it does give us people like Miss Siberia.

I don't think that Gordon can kill Alyx (though she can be killed). Probably would go something like this: Alyx: Ggrrr...gggrrr... Freeman: AAHH! (Shoots at Alyx; nothing happens) Oh, uh, shit. Sorry. How did I miss you? I shot at you at point blank range. After countless acts of self defense, I'm losing it. Dammit.

Uhm, hope you don't mind if I bow out of doing the subtitles for that. Yikes! Um, Tuesday is a day that I'm working. If FM is released on any day other than on the weekend, I will not be able to get to subtitling until after work. For anyone that wishes to do so, I will be livestreaming the subtitle process again if you missed it last time. For scheduling, figure the subtitling stream to start at approximately 6PM on Tuesday (or whatever day it's released), US-Pacific time (01h00 GMT/UTC). You can find the address in the Subtitles forum. Just a quick fore-note: The stream will probably be the last one I do. I will be starting college courses soon and will have little free time between work and that. I will continue to subtitle the episodes, but they may be delayed a day or two. I will not be able to stream as I'm going to try to fit in some subtitling in here and there when I get a break.

Y'know, I thought this thread was for made up game genres, not actual game genres. Massively Multiplayer Offline Point-and-Click Barista.

The episode was actually slated for release around the turn of the new year but was delayed for quite a while due to Machinima-related shenanigans. Hopefully any continuing shenanigans will be ironed out soon so that Ross can focus on what he enjoys doing instead of....well, THAT.
