The other way to do it is via the Ross Scott method: Record a "demo" of your playthrough and then play the "demo" back (will be a hands free process as it's playing) at a highly reduced speed in order to record smooth gameplay. Some problems, such as the laser sight on the rocket launcher, will be apparent but it's possibly the best way to do it.

The progress bar is one of the lesser important portions. I'd rather more work on the video(s) and less work on the progress bar.
