  1. Valve HQ is in a skyscraper. I haven't been into it but I've been next to the building. I saw the grassy plot where the HL3 protesters were camping and Gabe went out to talk with them (just the grassy plot, no protesters, no Gabe. :( )

The building Valve is in: http://goo.gl/maps/uS5Y6

    The grassy plot: http://goo.gl/maps/DwpZO

    Does that count?

By the way, it's been sunny here for the last two months in a row. So there!

  2. At a point in the game, you are in a parking garage and a gargantua begins to chase you until you get outside where the HECU are to commence airstrikes. I am thinking that, if you wanted a good excuse to have a switchover to Black Mesa, you could allow the gargantua to attack Freeman and the attack causes the screen to go crazy, and/or turn bright red or white or something, and when Freeman's vision returns, it could be replaced with the same place in Black Mesa (assuming they have this part in the mod). Then you could have Freeman comment on how everything looks different.

  3. ANNOUNCEMENT: It appears the Black Mesa mod will be actually releasing in short order. In about 12 days!

    I am so excited that I can't speak. :D

(The website is currently being deluged with requests and it might be hard to get on the page. Have patience.)

  4. It is apparently from a North Korean children's cartoon. The picture is of an anthropomorphic ear of corn. The anthropomorphic vegetables join together into an army to fight off anthropomorphic blights, plagues, and pestilences to protect the crops. The army is victorious and, to celebrate, the anthropomorphic potatoes are happily killed and turned into food, such as potato chips.

Moral of the story: If you work your hardest and battle your mightiest, you'll be worthy of sacrificing your life for your country. Yay North Korea. ;)

  5. Edit3: j'ai fini le 20, une phrase que je n'arrive pas à traduire :
Cool! Our cheap-ass table complements our cheap-ass
    pipe!

I can only understand a small amount of French (I took French in high school for one year and, unfortunately, did not retain most of it) but I ran this topic through Google Translate and it appears that you're having difficulties translating the line above from Episode 20. As I said, I don't have enough French knowledge to assist you in the translation, but I can try to explain what the line means if that helps with translation at all.

After the pipe Freeman was crawling in collapses, he says sarcastically that the pipe is made cheaply and not well just like the table. The term "complement" (if that's what you're having a problem with as that isn't a more well-used word) means to add something that enhances or improves it, or completes something. The "cheap-ass table" supplemented or completed the "cheap-ass pipe".

Does that help at all? I think the term in French would be compléter or complément or something similar to those.

  6. So, you've got something against the damned dam in Surface Tension?

    ;)

EDIT: By the way, I should show you my newest desktop...well, the wallpaper, at least. I am not on my desktop right now (laptop in bed, woo!), so I'll just post the picture that I'm using.

YFW your computer doesn't respond to requests and you try to open the same window several times....and then you give up and go to do something else, and then suddenly 10 copies of the same window pop up all at once.
