Not a debate thread, take it to the proper section please.
Then why did you go to the trouble to post what you did? You were one of the ones that helped start this.
OT: Also looking into hypocrisy. (I'm not being condescending, I am actually looking up some of the world's biggest hypocrites, just because)

I got a lot of extra animosity towards me on this forum for unknown reasons recently... Does that count?

seriously, buy something for once, devs and publishers appreciate that sort of thing.
I buy things when I have money for them. If you look at my Steam games list, there are over 350 paid for games there... That doesn't include the hundreds I have that don't run through Steam.
As a designer myself constantly having to hear about games being pirated is frustrating. Especially since most of the reasons aren't even good ones.Mind saying which reasons you're talking about, specifically?
I'm a designer too. If I found my game pirated I dunno if I would feel honored or just disgusted that someone honestly didn't find my product worth buying...If it was pirated by me, feel honored... I only pirate things I'm considering buying. (if it's not total crap, I put it on my list of 'to be purchased' items, and I do eventually buy them)
I mean, you're basically doing this when you pirate games:And what is that video supposed to be depicting? If you're trying to imply that pirates repost something, claiming it is their original idea, you're very sadly mistaken.
I've never pirated a game. i feel like it's sort of a pure art form.Name any other art form apart from AAA film that you have to pay $60 to see if it's as good as its trailer.
I used to pirate games a lot back when I had no income to speak of. Nowadays I don't think there's much of an excuse to unless your income is absolutely non-existent.My total income for the past year: $20. (try buying any new, or under 3 year old, AAA title for that)
OT: Looking into the reason why the propaganda against pirating is working better in the last couple years...

The 'monsters' you're mentioning are all historically relevant... You could play the 'teaching him world history' card quite easily. I know I'd do it. If the kid has at least some intelligence in him, (and judging by what you say he's doing, he has quite a bit) he can distinguish between something that was never real, and something that is real.

My brain is trying to throw off the oppression of the skull... It doesn't care how painful it is.

A headache, on top of a headache.

Feeling pissed at my parents... My Dad just told me to clean the pan and utensils, which isn't a problem, it how he did it. He outright accused me of maliciously dirtying and not washing them, even though he was the one to dirty one of the utensils. Pissing me off being blamed for everything, especially since I am perfectly OK with just doing the stuff necessary to fix it.

GTA V, pirated. It's using the original day-1 patched game, and injecting all the DLC into it... Works pretty well though. (getting 20 FPS average even on this old laptop)
-
True.
A completely new engine isn't needed for this sort of game though. (upgrading the existing works fine, and it's hard getting a game engine that actually works right most of the time for this scale of game)

Technically I could adopt, but a male 23 year old adopting a female 16 year old might raise some eyebrows...I've an extra 5 years on me, so it'd be a little less suspicious... Unfortunately this area of the country has no jobs, so there's that.

You can hit that little "EDIT" button in the lower right corner of your post to edit it, and include any additional information you want... You don't have to double post.

1. .308 battle rifle with sound suppressor. I don't want to rummage through the internet looking for the right one, so I'm just going to say 'generic military .308 battle rifle' here. Bear in mind, I would still use supersonic ammunition.
2. Katana & SR40c. There's a place near here that has some nice 2-2.5' katanas, and I already have an SR40c. 1-hand pistol and 1-hand sword.
3. Barricaded Gavin's Point Dam. It's about 1/4 mile of single-lane, and easily barricaded. Produces 50 Gw of hydroelectric power, has a fish filled lake and river, and is sitting next to prime farmland. Just build a barricade (reinforced steel plate backed with reinforced concrete, since I know where I can get the materials and tools to do that, and have the necessary experience required to build it) at each end, and you have a nice secure location to live in.
4. Helicopter. Not the military types, or anything that requires avgas. Probly homemade. (which I do have a design for, from someone who actually made a functional one)
5. Whatever's comfortable. Probly my typical military fatigues with T-shirt.
6. Whoever shows up. I've already put out the word for people to come there in this situation, so I should have at least a half dozen to back me up in under a week.
7. Bounce - System of a Down. (this really would be a hilarious song to use)
8. Reloading kit, (everything except for the brass needed to make 1000 rounds of ammo) extra ammo, extra ammo. (maybe a few grenades, but they'd be homemade, because I know how to make grenades/molotovs/pipe bombs/demolitions charges/etc. from household materials) Everything else I can scavenge from the small town shopping centers nearby.
Also, I'd build a still (for moonshine) and firing furnace, (for pottery) so I would have an almost endless supply of firebombs. (there is an abundance of clay in that area)

Yea when I was watching that entire scene of Quill and Gamora I couldn't stop laughing because it's so clean that space doesn't work like that, both of them would've been dead in a second if they went into space unprotected. I guess people think it's the same as floating in water which is just nonsensical.Space isn't what you appear to think it is either... Exhale all the air from your lungs, and you can survive 30 seconds easily. If you want a realistic depiction of unprotected space exposure with a panicked subject, just go look at the movie Event Horizon.
All that said, there are some 'plausible' explanations for that particular event. One is that Gamora is both alien, and (probably, considering her 'sister') cybernetically or genetically modified. This could include the ability to resist death in a 0 pressure environment. Quill is half alien, (as implausible as that itself is, if you take it as a 'reality' this is a very simple explanation) and that half could be enough to make him that resistant to a 0 pressure environment. Death averted, and suspension of disbelief continues.
Remember, not all organisms die as quickly when exposed to space as a human. http://morgana249.blogspot.com/2014/08/6-organisms-that-can-survive-travel-in.html
