  1. Star Trek TOS is best arbiter for these things. Kirk and Abraham Lincoln had to fight Genghis Khan and Kahless The Unforgettable on planet Excalbia. If Star Trek tells me someone is evil, then I accept that without question.

Except that Kahless was never a bad guy... He actively protected peaceful civilizations from being conquered. (it was only much later that the Klingons became the conquerors)

  2. I'd like a Super Mutant Behemoth (without any carts on his back, and wearing something that looks like Mongolian armor from that era) that is still quite brilliant, but is fully convinced that he is Genghis Khan, and that helping you will help restore his empire.

I want an enemy group that have gone through the trouble to make themselves look like the various US presidents of history, (like with surgery and everything) and after defeating them, you get your choice of president as a companion.

    Bill & Ted. Nuff said.

Bill & Ted robots. For the same reason.

Bill & Ted bad robots. For the opposite reason.

    The Doctor. Who? Yes.

    The preacher robot from Futurama.

That's all I can think of right now... I'll probly think of more later.

  3. Perhaps a Fallout: Schaffhausen game could take place from a fully functioning and populated vault filled with working 2077 technology (which functions as the player's home base to which they frequently return) like a European version of Vault 81 in Fallout 4. You character and other inhabitants of the vault make numerous foray onto the surface to discover what took place over the years and to scavenge for materials.

So... Fallout Shelter, turned into a standard Fallout game. Wouldn't that just look kinda like Metro 2033?

  4. Come to think of it... World of Warcraft.

I would trade all the graphics improvements, and even run it at 640x480, to get back the pre-WotLK game. Back when hunters were useful in PvP for something other than dying, and could solo elite PvE mobs 5-10 levels higher than themselves if the player was skilled. Back before they nerfed all the fun classes in order to buff the boring ones. Back before the skill system had its guts ripped out, and replaced by a Fisher-Price system. Back when you needed real skill to beat things instead of just better gear. Back when a level 12 would make the journey across whole continents, usually dying dozens of times, just to see the amazing world they had created and grab a run through a dungeon. The game was objectively better back then.

  5. The problem from what I'm hearing is less that they're shutting down the server and more that people feel the game, as it was in 2004, is being killed off and blizzard refuses to let anyone play it the way they wanted to in the past. People have stated that they'd be willing to resub if they could get legacy servers, yet blizzard has even gone to say "you think you want that but you don't want that." which is quite honestly bullshit. I'm sure every month that goes by with that line of thought is a healthy chunk of sub revenue they're losing with that line of thought.

I'm one of those that would resub in a heartbeat if it meant I could have my pre-WotLK Hunter...

Also don't believe them if they say they don't have the code anymore. That's bullshit. A company like blizzard would have multiple backups of code, legacy and current. They're simply using this as an excuse. If they DON'T have the backup code anymore then that's even more respect lost for a company because not backing up everything is a mistake even learning coders know not to make.

They have all their original code, (for every game they ever made) and backups of every version of the server versions ever. (I know a guy that works there as a dev) They literally are being puppeted by their legal and marketing departments right now... The devs want a Vanilla server, (and a server for each expansion as well) but it rubs the marketing team wrong to bring back the old for ANY reason.

  6. (Also, hooray(?) for me joining the majority of my age group that takes pictures in the bathroom with their phone! Classy. :P)

As long as you don't leave your toilet unflushed while taking a picture that has enough angle to see into the bowl, you're good. :P
