  1. TPP is a watered-down common sense trade agreement that's been unfairly demonized by anti-free trade protectionists (despite free trade being agreed on by almost every economist as great). It is actually very good for workers; it's of minor benefit for Americans (but a benefit regardless, due to an expanded market for US services and cheaper products- a LOT of our clothes come from Vietnam), but it's set to massively increase the income of workers in Vietnam, just like the Chinese free trade agreements, which roughly quadrupled the average Chinese income in less than two decades. That's ignoring the fact that TPP also contains regulatory rules and standards that its members must follow.

You have apparently never read any of the leaked documents yourself. I have. It's bad for everyone NOT in the top 1% wealth bracket, or businesses.

  2. Yeah you can go offline. But how do you get rid of the prompt that asks you whether you want to go back online or not?

You can set yourself to be offline for the social system, but not offline in the client itself... I think that was what was meant.

Just click on the 'Friends' menu at the top of the client window, and select offline. (it leaves the client online so you can still play online games while not having a social life)

  3. Does anyone here overclock? If so why? Does the performance really matter for the tasks you're doing? Are you at concerned of your PC's overall lifespan?

I overclock GPUs when I can, because more FPS. That is really the only usage scenario I would consider overclocking for. (any other scenario and you're risking system stability and even complete hardware death for a negligible time savings on things that don't need it)

Also does the extra $20 justify buying an FX 8350 CPU for higher performance over buying an FX 8320 CPU? I've heard that the extra performance doesn't hurt to have. But does it matter? I'm asking out of curiosity. I have an FX 8320 CPU and this has always bugged me. The FX 8350 CPU just doesn't sound very cost effective for what you get out of it over an FX 8320 CPU.

I would say yes. It wouldn't be justified upgrading from one to the other, but as an initial purchase, it is worth it. 1/7 performance boost, 1/7.5 price increase.

When it comes to AMD CPU speeds, 1GHz is equivalent to 0.8GHz on an Intel. (4.0GHz AMD = 3.4GHz Intel) This is a fairly accurate aproximation, and has been this way since the introduction of the Core series of Intel processors.

  4. Because, for some reason my computer hardware has about 2000% better audio output quality if it's at 48K or better in the file. Also, I can hear the difference between 44.1k and 48k on sound systems that don't have this bizarre issue. (like my phone)

44.1k to 48k doesn't really change much in the way of the audio, or the file size, just makes it a LOT clearer sounding when listening on my computer. (bit depth doesn't really matter much though, as my system converts it to 32-bit float on the fly without issue)

  5. Indeed.

That's why I would have an AI interpret them into the code, giving a much clearer and comprehensive set of rules for the AI to follow. (as I said, this would be perfect for an AI to do, as it can even figure out how the next AI can try to get around them, and block it)
