  1. If you managed to get past security, didn't get caught, and it was from a Duty Free store, you're all good. Otherwise, you're technically a smuggler. Welcome to the dark side, care to take up piracy while you're here? (all you have to do is send someone a file that you don't explicitly own to join)

  2. Do you know of any other people that started similar projects that aim to preserve the history of videogames?

Well, it's not just for video games, but most torrent sites have massive and 'ancient' libraries of stuff... Even if something isn't available anymore, you can usually find someone who downloaded it at some point that is willing to reupload it for you to get. Essentially making it a decentralized library of digital stuff. (and that's how people who frequent those sites tend to treat it)

  3. I've tried Ububntu, (disgusting default UI, not a simple design to move to from 20+ years of Microsoft OSes) and Fedora... Was planning on trying Mint, but the power supply for my Linux box burned out, and I haven't the money to replace it yet.

The biggest problem I have with existing distros is their inexplicable desire to keep every advanced setting locked into the command line only, and none of the devs will ever even consider making a GUI for it. (by the way they respond, it's like asking if you can eat their firstborn child)

  4. I'll tell you this... At the time it was originally released, it was a great marvel of a game, but it hasn't aged as well as other games. I recommend trying to play through the others in the series before completely giving up on it.

  5. That is really quite cool... Though it is just a tad high on the low mids for my taste. (IMO, drop the 65Hz-250Hz range by 4db, and the 250Hz-550Hz by 2db)

I took your tip and applied it to a new mix.

Sounds much nicer, it's not overpowering the other sounds anymore. :)

  6. OT: Something really annoying... is when like, you've got a cut in your nail. Like, a tear. But the tear is too far into the nail for you to trim it off. I mean you COULD trim it off, but you'd have a bloody mess and it'll be painful as fuck. So... now I'm living with this retarded nail on my foot, and everytime I go to put my trousers on, I forget my nail is messed up and I almost rip the bloody thing off. *groans*

You need one of the really good nail files... (not the cardboard popsicle stick ones, a metal one) They can make it so it doesn't catch on anything.

  7. I have 72 D6 dice, and had one character build for Shadowrun 4e that could actually use all of them when rolling for trickshot sniping with a suppressed light pistol from a half mile away. (naturally the character was way OP, even though it only had the equivalent of 580 Karma points used)

  8. There are enough good ones

And it keeps coming back to this... How many is 'enough'? What is the definition of 'good' in this context?

Not everyone lakes all games in the same genre, even if done well. (many I know love Starcraft, but hate Command & Conquer, and vice versa) Enough is relative, and what is enough for you, might not be for others. What is 'good' to you, might be crap to others.

What kind of games do you enjoy?

I enjoy a large selection of games, but ones that aren't done well (this is a purely subjective assessment) result in my total lack of enjoyment of the game. The problem is the 99% of the F2P games are usually poor quality, and that other 1% is usually made up of stuff that requires a lot of microtransactions to do anything worthwhile.
