If life was like I want it to be, nobody would ever be bored, everyone would be challenged exactly as much as they need, and would never need anything to remain alive should they at least try to get it. I got nothing... Just repurposing old things mostly. (downside of approaching 30, being unemployed, and not having a girlfriend or any form of social life outside the internet)

There's a ton of humor in the show, but also a lot of dealing with the 'human condition'. It's portrayed as a drama, but never actually felt like one when I watched it. (I hate dramas)

I would hate to bust Ross's bubble about the number of fans he can get to play Planetside 2, but it's probly not enough to really worry about server population levels... Continents have a limit of like 250 per side, so around 750 total per continent on each server, the tournament server has a limit of 1000 for 2 sides on 1 continent. (plus you'd really want people to get to BR 10 first, so they at least know the basics of how the command structure works)

What would need to happen is get people on 2 or more continents, fully saturating the population limits of the continents, then it's easy to wipe the map with the other sides. (if he can get that many, and keep them organized) It would be fun to see the NC lock down all 4 continents at once, now that would be a record worthy of a "Ross's Army" attempt.

Problem is, I'm unemployed... Eat or play games... Not much choice here. Have to torrent to play non-free games, and there are unfortunately very few decent free games that hold my attention longer than 3 weeks.

I personally use the Ghostery browser... Seems to work just fine for me. (then again, I'm also on an x86 version of Android instead of ARM, because my phone is awesome and has an Intel Atom processor)

Yeah, any culture that has resulted in a lasting marriage is a good one in my book. (gaming has done so many times, I even personally know a couple that got married in WoW, then got married IRL, and have been married almost a decade now with minimal issues to contend with)

I'm up for voice acting... I have a somewhat decent mic, and a good recording device. I should be able to provide a decent lossless (FLAC) demo if you have a role in mind for one of most USA originating accents, since I've lived in areas that used/originated most of them. (drawl, midwest, redneck, southern [not drawl], and many different speech patterns)

The issue with FRAPS is that it is designed to grab the frames exactly as they're displayed, and write them directly to the file. This makes it a massively resource intensive recording solution.

Do you have the trial or paid version of FRAPS? The paid up-to-date version has video quality settings that doesn't chop your resolution in half, (default for the trial, not alterable) allows for different framerate options, and even has a lossless RGB option. (though it really slows everything massively)

I'd say get one of the Gameboy emulators (free, open source, without ads, you'll have to dig for it though) and download some ROMs. You can also do SNES games with an emulator. (Zelda on the phone)

Quake 2 has an excellent emulator too, you need only provide the game data files. (like if you have it on Steam, install it on your PC, and copy over the files it tells you to)

There are a lot of decent games available from HumbleBundle, (and a lot of crap, but that's just personal opinion for most of them) but you do need to pay a little to get them.

I'm just sad there aren't very many decent old-style games like a better version of Ultima. (it would work very well on a mobile)

Torrented XCOM 2... It's a definite buy for me, but I knew that before torrenting it. I've found a LOT of bugs though.

Physics does not say it's impossible, you just interpret it that way... Known physics says that FTL is impossible, yet most physicists are working towards FTL travel... There was a time where people thought that physics said that sound speed was a fixed speed, and the fastest you could go...

Anyways, back to the thread topic, and no more argument about physics in relation to this particular point.
