Get a video clip you want turned into a GIF, and I'll take a crack at it. Try to keep the scene under 15 seconds, just so I don't have to worry so much about the file size restriction. (I also don't want to have to deal with reducing 500+ frames down to the typical 80 or less)

Yes, it's definitely anime. I would say look at the wiki page for each of the questionables, and decide from there.

What they did for VR in Half-Life 2 (when it worked) was had the guns and crosshairs move (with the mouse) independently of the head. You can aim to multiple places without turning your head. This felt wonky as all get-out at first with the crowbar, but by the time I got to the place where you kill the two Metrocops ("They're going to be looking of you now. You'd better run; there's nothing else you can do here."), it suddenly clicked and it became super easy to figure out. I was actually aiming BETTER in VR than without it.

That really is the way it should be done. Turning your head IRL doesn't turn your gun, so why should it do so in a game?

@BTG: Oh, could you please! That would be so wonderful. I feel like my avatar is way too small, as in... Crops too much, doesn't show enough. It's also not the same speed which fucks me up too. Though I have no idea how to get it to the way I like, and be under the maximum file size. :/

The interesting part is that it condensed down to under 50 total frames, so I didn't have to use any kind of image quality reduction to get it to be well under the forum avatar file size limit. (it's only 37.6KB, and the limit is in the 600's) The biggest drain on GIF size limits is sequentially repeated frames, they increase the file size size of the image without adding any information to the image. (one of the huge benefits of being able to set the frame times in GIF files is being able to get rid of all sequentially repeated frames) The easiest way to shrink the file size after that is to limit the number of colors used, (just the number of them, not what colors are used) which typically reduces the image quality imperceptibly, but if you use one of the free tools it does it in a really bad way. (usually severely reducing quality)

If you want different cropping, I can do it... It's not hard.
