I don't see what's so bad about the original being sold on Steam, other video content is on Steam.

Simple, as previously mentioned, Valve owns the copyrights, and do not allow monetization of their content. In other words, Ross can't sell FM in any way, shape, or form, much less on Valve's own distribution system.

That's because VMs don't allow direct access to the hardware unless you have hardware capable of it. (only ones I know of that can are newer Intel chips, and that still doesn't allow access to your GPU)

I always turn off the majority of win conditions, because it makes the game way too easy. I usually do domination because I conquer everything via overwhelming culture. (I can win a domination victory without ever entering combat)

I'd be up for a MP match, if we could all get on at the same time, and stay on for longer than a few hours. (many people who play Civ games tend to overstock their military in MP matches, and that makes the turns take F-O-R-E-V-E-R)
