  1. I just can't for the life of me get it working on Windows 7...

Did you try any of these workarounds? http://greekgeekprick.blogspot.com/2015/02/workaround-for-deus-ex-invisible-war-on.html

The main problem seems to be the game itself. More specifically how it loads levels.

It seems to load levels as separate executables so the Steam overlay doesn't work and something intercepts the game every time it loads a level so it freezes for several minutes, sometimes freezing entirely. It just doesn't run stable enough to be fun for me. I've gotten it to work, yes, but it never worked WELL.

I have tried BOTH the Desktop Composition and Set Affinity trick but none of those have yielded successfull results for me. Mostly cause, man, the affinity thing just is HELL to do when you try to alt tab out of a black screen... and it didn't seem to make ANY difference for me.

ALl of the other solutions in that guide just seem like way too much of a chore for a game that is mediocre at best. I've concluded it's just not worth it.

Well, you might want to check your GPU drivers, and switch to an older/newer/beta version to see if that works... If it isn't too much trouble anyways. Hope you don't abandon the game permanently.

  2. Sounds like its from Futurama, and DJ Atomica is also in SSX Deadly Descents (well SSX 2012)

    Was from Anno 2070...

    "You're a rotten actress."

I don't recognize it at all... It could be from so many games that it isn't even generically placeable for me...

"If that hit you in the chest, I'm sorry. I was aiming for your crotch."

  3. Well Protestants obviously don't care about the Pope, and I don't think every Catholic does either.

And yet many non-Christians/Catholics respect the man enough to treat him with a respect they wouldn't even show to their loved ones...

Is British food really as bad as everyone says?

Depends on the dish... On average, yes.

Do you also lament that Tesla's wireless electrical grid wasn't adopted by the mainstream, and is just now barely making inroads as wireless battery chargers?

  4. I need to get you some pics of the dino I got for my brother when he was still in the hospital after his accident... And the green velvet panther my Mom made a few years later...

Also, I'll be posing a collection of images grabbed from my trip to Philly, after I get back and crop/select them.

  5. Just as an open question to the public of Accursed Farms, would there be any objection to me posting a recording of a panel of Catholic outreach professionals talking about what they do, and requesting comments in the Serious Topic thread? It kinda touches on a lot of hot topics that people are usually very misinformed about when it come to the Catholic church's teachings...

  6. Ok, here's a rundown of what I've had here in Philly...

    1. Vietnamese Pho noodles with chicken, and an imported Vietnamese beer. (listed as "33", beats every domestic I've ever had, corroborated by a friend who has an extra 30 years of beer drinking hanging over his belt)

    2. Kung Pao Chicken w/peanuts, water, hot green tea. (this is the only meal with mushrooms I don't get sick from)

    3. A B-52 burger, fries, homemade wine, and water. (B-52 is two 1/2lb beef patties, 8 slices of bacon, 2 slices of cheddar; homemade wine was a bit dry for my taste, and not sweet enough)

    4. A chicken quesadilla from "WaWa", and Dr. Pepper. (too much chicken, not enough cheese, not Mexican type cheese)

    5. A custom personal 14" pizza, water. (a friend of a friend owns two restaurants here in Philly, and he made me a masterful pizza with extra cheese, pepperoni, and sausage)

    6. Philly Cheesesteak sandwich. (also from the friend of a friend)

    7. A double cheeseburger from Hungry Burger in the Philly Marketplace downtown. (good, but overpriced; $10 for a burger comparable to a $4 Double whopper from BK)

I'll update later, as I have at least 2 more meals before I leave on Tuesday.

  7. Heading to bed while being simultaneously pissed and happy that T-mobile has 10Mbps unlimited internet here in Philly as a part of the 3G plan for my phone. Happy because I have good internet now in Philly, (that I don't have to risk borrowing from someone, or sharing from a public source) pissed because it isn't anywhere near as reliable or fast where I live.

  8. I'd say introvertedness doesn't translate too well online, as it's typically associated with preferring quieter "Me-time" over busier, face-to-face social interaction. The editorial freedom and time that comes with typing allows people (me, for one) to make sure I'm saying what I really want to say, and may not express properly in-person, due to the real-timeness of speech. (Though mistakes do happen if I'm say on a chatbox and everything is happening faster than Forum speed)

Introverts are strange. X3 A lot of people get the definition of it wrong. It's actually kind of piss annoying when extroverted know-it-all adults go; "Oh. You just don't want to go out because you're introverted." Like, duh? It sounds like a massive insult. :I Like apparently there's something wrong with being introverted, something wrong with wanting some alone time. And so many of my extroverted friends at school are doing the same; "You don't want to come with us because you're being an introvert." NO SHIT. XD

There's also a fine line between anti-social and introvert. If you're anti-social, you'd have trouble communicating with anyone really. Introverts are just happier to talk with those who are closer to them, or... talking in a quiet controlled environment - which is why forums are flooded with them. XD But that also means that sometimes you get called an anti-social git for wanting some alone time. Because some people can't tell the difference. Ah well.
