  1. Not-so-silently seething at the collective bad idea that ISP data caps are. There should be a law that states if an ISP thinks "Hey this is a good idea" then it's not a good idea and they need to try again. The American business plan "One step forward, Twenty steps backwards."

I know that feel... Fortunately I don't have it anymore. (unlimited data on everything here)

OT: Tired, yet not tired. My eyes are saying it's time for bed, but my mind is saying "but we had brunch only 9 hours ago".

  2. NFSU2.

Was on a retreat with my church group, and I forgot my USB cable for my external drive, so I had to download and install it again on my internal drive... Very messy overall, and it even somehow made Steam forget that I had stuff installed on my external. (easily fixed by installing something else to the external drive's Steam folder)

  3. About talking to thin air... I do that all the time, and interestingly enough, talking out loud to nobody has been linked to preventing Alzheimer's.

So go ahead and talk to your guardian angel. It's good for you!

  4. Stop playing the game... That'll show them for thwarting your healing ambitions, then rubbing it in your face!

Do you think that semi-counterfeiting Magic the Gathering cards for personal use only is going to get me in trouble with someone? If so, how do I get out of it without having to spend any money?

  5. I hate Disc Locked Content, I hate DLC as pre-order bonuses, I hate exclusive DLC, I hate weapon skin DLC, I hate Day 1 DLC, I hate Season Passes (for video games). I love the Arkham games. I'm excited for Arkham Knight. I can't wait to get my hands on it. Now thanks to all of these paywalls to content that's already in the game (plus the full $60) I'm not going to get the game when it comes out (good thing I didn't bother pre-ordering it). Nope, I'm going to wait for the GOTY edition which will get rid of all of the pointless paywalls.

Vent 2: Game Of The Year has lost all meaning. Growing up, whenever I heard the words "game of the year edition" I thought "holy shit, this game must be fan fabultisticly amazing to have such a title"*, and I was right. These games deserved such title. Now? It seems like every game out there gets this title. Hell, even Payday 2 got this title. Now don't get me wrong, I enjoy that game, but it's hardly GOTY worthy. Now what does GOTY mean nowadays? It means the game is back to being $60, with all of the extra content that was locked behind paywalls is now free, as it should have been. As it was in the past. Hell, the extra content, in the past, would have been unlockables that you got using ingame currency/points/whatever, or cheats. Take the first Spider-Man movie game for example. If you beat the game on hard(?) mode, or used a cheat code, you could replay the entire game as Green Goblin. This wasn't just a simple reskin, no, you could fly around on the glider, get on/off the glider, and use different types of pumpkin bombs. Now grant it, the majority of the game was exactly the same, however GG had unique lines, and other characters reacted differently. Nowadays? You would have to pay extra for that, or just wait for the GOTY edition of said game.

  6. Subject #I dunno. I lost track:

You could just put "NEW TOPIC: ***" instead... It would save having to do anything with numbering.

    Arranged marriages!

Ignoring what religion says and all, X3 Do you think they're good or bad?

Cultural holdovers are the only reason they still exist, as they tend more often than not to be horrible matches. That's also the reason they last so long. Culturally, divorce usually isn't allowed without the permission of one of the parties, and that party is essentially treated as the 'owner' of the other... (I'll give you one guess which party that is)

My official position on it is: It's moronic unless you're trying to either force genetic diversity or interbreeding, and there is no reason for either in this era. Right now, barring massive depletion of global populace to under 1 million humans, arranged marriages shouldn't exist.
