  1. It is possible to fit all of Freeman's Mind onto a single Blu Ray disc with reduced definition, or higher definition with multiple discs. The biggest problem, I see, is that physical distribution of such things is probably illegal due to the fact that it is essentially just a play through of Half-Life with commentary. Valve might take issue with this.

Actually, depends on the size of the Blu-ray disk... I can likely fit all episodes on one disc with minimal quality difference at full resolution.

  2. I'll find out what I'm eating in a few minutes...

[EDIT] I had a bowl of shrimp and seasoned butter, and now I'm having desert... Desert is instant banana pudding (I prefer stovetop version by a long ways) with about 1.5 bananas sliced up into it.

  3. Excuse my ignorance here, please, but why would that be a factor?

Because it would allow people to put as many rounds in their handguns as the police and military, instead of limiting us to 15 rounds maximum. Besides, there will likely only be a few thousand individuals who will want to carry more than a 15 round mag, so it was a relatively pointless law to begin with.

The militia movement feels threatened by it, that's why. My guess is that BTG means "civil war", but reality is "crazy far right movements".

It's not a "far right movement" issue... It's a freedom issue. When people are free to carry as many rounds in their guns as they want, they feel safer. Criminals don't have limits, only law abiding citizens do. This doesn't open up automatic weapons for civilian use. (something that I personally feel is a good restriction at this time)

  4. -- Is what I imagine him meeting the Vortigaunt in the boxcar would probably be like.

Well, he did find Vortigaunts that weren't hostile on Xen, so he might hold his fire initially.

And he would probably notice the still enslaved Vort that is sweeping the floor in the train station, behind the fence. I know I saw that the first time I played the game.

  5. One thing I don't doubt for a second is that the G-Man is fucking evil.

My guess is he represents another power that take pleasure in pulling the strings of other races to prevent them from ever becoming powerful enough to be a threat. Humans + Vortigaunts are an actual threat.
