    Edit: Nevermind, it's working again.

But I do want to mention that I occasionally have the forum log me out between page navigations. It happened a few moments ago and I noticed this a little too late after entering my log on credentials at the board index page, but the security identifier was displayed in the URL. (sid=3f********1edff98ec********ea***).

Any board security concerns from the admins lately?

Edit 2: It happened again after trying to update this post, I was asked to log in again. This time I was directed to an SQL error page:

That sounds more like an issue with your system than an issue with the site... Try uninstalling and reinstalling your browser, and cleaning your system with CCleaner or something similar.

Also, check and see if your ISP is changing your WAN IP frequently, as that can cause you to 'log out automatically'.

  2. The problem is that we seem to always build oppressive governing systems, and then accept it when the systems become even more oppressive, even when they violate the only few rules they are supposed to follow. In the USA its the US Constitution that the government is supposed to obey, and it has been repeatedly violated, and still is being violated, and the reason nobody is standing up against it is because it wouldn't change anything if we did. (or so we're led to believe)

War on the other hand, creates a major focus, bringing the majority of the attention of the government away from oppressing the people, and towards defending it's ability to actually oppress the people. This usually results in significantly increased personal freedom.

It really comes down to "freedom or security, you can't have both"... Not an entirely accurate statement, but close enough for you to understand it's intent.

  3. Depends on your definition of 'hard'... If you're talking singleplayer difficulty, then Doom 3 with a mod that made demons spawn constantly when you're not looking. If you're talking overall difficulty in a game, it would have to be Cobat Arms when the other team was stacked with hackers that used paid hacks. If you're talking the most difficult in any fair game, then I would have to say Battlefield 3, when my team was full of noobs that just followed me everywhere, and gave away my position to the enemy whenever I tried to infiltrate behind their lines, or when I was looking for an epic sniping location.

What is the most embarrassing moment of your life so far?

  4. I forgot to tell everybody but on Halloween, I went down Main St. of my college town dancing in this while my friend played the Ghostbusters theme on a big speaker. From the reactions of the students who were also on Main St. it would seem I made their Halloween awesome, which felt really good. (I would advise zooming out before clicking that spoiler tag)

You can't link pictures directly from Dropbox...

  5. See if using something like Audacity will change the sound quality... I know I had to move away from Adobe Soundbooth for simple recording because it was dropping the volume significantly. (I still use Soundbooth for reprocessing when needed)

Also, you might want to check and see if you can record to FLAC instead of WAV, as it can chop your storage requirements in half.

  6. I'll take almost any dark color... Dark purple is currently at the top of my list. Charcoal grey is second.

    As for great color blends:

    Purple & gold flakes.

    Green & gold flakes.

    Red & black.

    Tan/gold & metallic red.

    Metallic silver & medium-dark blue.
