See if installing the Source SDK 2006/2007/2013 Singleplayer affects anything... I use the 2006 SDK to run a couple HL2 mods that were never updated. (e.g. SMOD)

Then why haven't right wing fundamentalists in the US started major terrorist groups and started creating death sqauds against the people they hate? It may have something to do with the fact that they aren't treated like second class citizens and are left in poverty. So you're now implying that the left wouldn't? Both sides have in the past, but because of the USA's decent legal system, and decent law enforcement, those small groups are very rapidly apprehended and prosecuted.

Freelancer mod that increases view distance to infinity... At the time, there was no computer system that could run it with more than 10 FPS while looking in the direction of an asteroid field. The mod was sort of a proof-of-concept, and only worked in the New York system. -

Windows 7 Ultimate x64, Lenovo G780 laptop, GT630m 2GB dedicated video card, no mods.

That's possible, but I haven't got either of those issues, and I'm fully updated. Also, Ross isn't using any of the HD assets.
