I'm just sitting here being bored.

Have you ever seen it snow when it is above freezing? It was 39 degrees this morning, and it was snowing... I drove my Mom to work in it, then on the way back, it switched to rain, then back to snow... It keeps other people off the road, and looks beautiful... I love it!

Does God exist? (your opinion anyways.)
BTGBullseye replied to thebeelzebub's topic in Serious Topic Discussion
He didn't "disagree with God" he wanted to become God. He wanted to take power, not to just have things done differently. No. He did it to spite God, and ruin the relationship between God and Man. Imagine it like this: A guy and his friend get in a fight because they both want to be captain of the football team, the one that is already the Captain wins the fight, so they become enemies. Later on, the Captain gets a girlfriend, so the enemy decides to get back at the Captain by making them break up. It works, but they remain friends. The Captain knows that it was his enemy that caused the breakup, and tells his ex to be wary of him, and even tells her what sort of tricks he uses to try and manipulate people. The enemy decides to try and make the ex-girlfriend fall for him, just to rub it in. Do you understand at least a little? Actually, before being thrown out of the garden, God and Man walked together... Like good buddies, not like someone that worshiped the other. Man had, and used free will, but didn't have the "knowledge of good and evil" which if IIRC is a bad translation of the words that described the idea... It was something closer to "the urge to do bad things, despite knowing that it was bad". (you can't see where the light shines, unless there's dark somewhere) It's extremely hard to put this type of idea into words. Why? Before that, they had no urges to even try the forbidden fruit... (if someone says that one type of apple will kill you, but the rest of the extremely plentiful fruit around you would be good, would you risk it?) That was introduced by the serpent when he said "surely you will not die". (serpent, not snake; it was probly closer to a dragon than a snake if the original wording, and historical references are to be believed) I could also get into what God and the devil meant when they talked about dying, but suffice to say that, once you lose innocence, you can never regain it... Innocence can die without you physically dying. You can cease to be who you are, without physical death. Doing it in the name of a religion doesn't mean that it's actually following the teachings of said religion. Taking things out of context can give radically different meanings to what is actually intended. (and that is where a vast majority of the wrongs attributed to certain religions come from) -
I think there's already a thread about the religion stuff, but I don't remember for sure. I'd be happy to discuss the topic with you there if you want. Actually, back in the day, Christians were the leading scientists. (science is the study of everything, and therefore the study of God)

Nope... Not that either... I just don't want to go through and post a reply again concerning that aspect of this subject... As a matter of fact, I don't even want to post this, but not doing so would leave you with the wrong idea of me. Ok, I'll reply to the first part of Doom's post at least... We separated from England, and that separated us from those who were both influenced heavily by the corporations, and from those that influenced the corporations heavily. In addition, it separated us from the crown's excessive taxes and tariffs that they imposed on virtually everything. (some of which were increased even further by certain corporations, and then pocketed) And his last reply: “Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it” - George Santayana (a revolution is going to happen again and again until the people in charge learn to quit being assholes) -
Well, if you ever need any northern midwest American male voices with just a touch of southwest for any of your videos, I'm your extraterrestrial! The FM voicepack would be enough to get me to play DotA2 again, so it looks like I won't be playing any time soon. It would be nice to see you do a few other games' "minds" after you finish FM, but don't feel obligated...

Unfortunately, I have to agree with Bugthing... Add in some other stuff that relates to the show, discretely, and reduce the sharpness of the light reflections a bit, maybe add mini lens-flares to the brightest spots...

Serious Sam 3 is already an HD game - and a fairly recent one at that. The game he played there was Serious Sam: The First Encounter HD. Easily recognizable, too, due the following facts: 1. It's set in Egypt (which limits it to First Encounter and BFE) 2. He had a knife (which further limits it to First Encounter only) 3. Good graphics (which means it's the HD remake of First Encounter) I wouldn't know, that's why I had that "?" in there... (I'm not a fan, it's just too boring to me) All I knew was it was one of the HD quality graphics ones. I got a typo when I was making the list, so it looks like when I went to delete the typo it took out Bioshock too, and I didn't notice.

"Is that cowbell I hear?"

Yes, but PM me the image so I can fix it for you... OT: 7/10

Yay! I can now replace all those missing $100 and $500 bills that are missing. Granted, but it's just some creepy sounding guy laughing and insulting you. I wish I had a Google fiber internet connection here.

What do you like about the user above you?

Says that I always say the most interesting things... Like stuff that can be interpreted in a very lewd manner if you pay attention. (I like certain 'pinks' in certain 'places') -
Depends on which end of the hammer... That's your problem right there, you're just holding it inside-out.

White House Down 9.3/10 Lots of action, lots of humor, and not as far-fetched as it looks on the surface.

Actually, it was probly a Sac spider, since this place seems to attract them, and I killed one that was about an inch long the other day... OT: Torrenting Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 1 & 2. (I own them both, but my disks are packed away somewhere else, if my parent's didn't lose them in the last move) Also playing Age of Wonders 3, and drinking milk.
-
Good. As long as it works, and is better than what you had...

Age of Wonders 3 Quite good. Get it if you enjoy turn based strategy, and dire penguins.

Oh come on... I can't be the only one that saw System Shock 2 in there, can I? HL1 HL2 HL1 Doom 3 Minecraft System Shock 2 Serious Sam 3 HD? Deus Ex Far Cry Unknown Game... Looks similar to one particular map in Hitman: Absolution, but isn't that. IDK, looks like Far Cry again... Crysis I don't remember the name, but I used to have it... IDK... Left 4 Dead 2 One of the Driver series? Portal 2 Never played the last one, so IDK. And the screenshot... I played it once a long while ago, but got bored and deleted it from my HDD and brain... Google says the image is similar to this: *he's not-acat*

Take it to the Serious Topic subforum... I'll reply there if you make a thread.

I wasn't...

YAY! I'm dead again! Granted, and it also has so many bugs that the game is unplayable. I wish I had money.
