  1. Loadout... I prefer it to TF2 by a long ways... Probly because getting the weapons I want isn't a purely random chance occurrence, or an extorted trade with someone who has a dozen of them.
  2. There is the possibility that something else entirely is causing it... No proof yet that it was caused by some "big bang".
  3. Software doesn't change the hardware.
  4. Did you have any mods for any source engine games installed before? If so you might have two separate directories for HL2 like I do... Check and see if you have one in the common folder, and use that one...
  5. Oh, THAT'S how you could always record in Half-Life: Source and I couldn't. Good new piece of information. Actually, there was an update a while ago for HL2 to support HL:S... I'm guessing that has something to do with this.
  6. I would consider it, but it'd cost too much to import my guns...
  7. Yup...
  8. Perfect... Exactly as I had planned!
  9. WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? THAT MAKES ABOUT AS MUCH SENSE AS ASKING A QUESTION!!! (I know, this isn't the random thread...)
  10. FREE T-SHIRTS!!! (lol, jk)
  11. Welcome one and all to the greatest mind-game of them all!!!
  12. Ah, I used to get old junk parts and put them together in random ways... Never had one that didn't work within 2 days... That electrocution sounds like you touched a capacitor, and unless your were inside the monitor or PSU, it can't kill you. (not enough amps) It'll hurt like hell though... (I used to use one with a AA battery as a mini-taser)
  13. Over $13k... Not bad for someone only asking for $500...
  14. 9/10 I saw his full picture... I prefer to ignore the lower section.
  15. Definitely look into it... Usually a smoke shop will have them.
  16. Not that I've seen... He's come close to running out a few other times, but there's an awful lot of ammo laying around in this game.
  17. Try this one: http://augmentedtrader.wordpress.com/2012/05/13/10-things-raid/ It's a bit older, but still good reading. Bear in mind that regular HDD speeds are increasing significantly, (upwards of 150MB/s is getting to be pretty average for 2TB drives nowadays) and all prices are going down, while storage space is going up. Well, as an option you could do a RAID5, RAID6, RAID10, or RAID50/60... (I can explain the different RAIDs if you need it) I wouldn't recommend a RAID15/16 though... (A bit more drives required than you probly want to deal with) RAID5 gives good performance boosting, (if you use enough drives, and a decent controller) and maintains data recovery, but it requires a minimum of at least 3 disks. RAID6 requires 4 drives, but has better error recovery capabilities. (it can lose ANY 2 drives, and not lose ANY data) http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/176962-32-raid-gaming [read the third reply to this question, except that RAID0 and RAID5/6 are theoretically the same speed if running with the minimum number of drives required] RAID10 might be the best for you, since it has both redundancy, and speed, but I personally would do a RAID5/6 if I had the drives/hardware for it. (all about the same price) And if you could manage it, a RAID1 on a pair of SSDs will usually do quite well for not a lot of price.
  18. I'm betting you will in the next month or so...
  19. Only $1061 to go for a guarantee at finishing Half-life...
  20. Wow... I can't believe this hadn't been posted in in 2 years... Time flies... Still haven't played TA, and don't plan on it anytime soon...
  21. Nice... I've fried quite a few computers, but never managed to get the RAM to fry...
  22. An LG840G... It's a crappy touchscreen phone for use with Tracfone. I really want to switch to a decent Android on the Virgin Mobile network, but I'd need a job to do that. Do you think Ross's donations will break the $20,000 mark?
  23. Has the second most interesting avatar on the forum.
