  1. AC5 is good, but Prolimatech is better, and less expensive...
  2. The thing is that the Jews aren't doing anything to deserve the treatment that the Muslim countries are providing... There has never been any religious restrictions in Israel... Israel allows Muslims to come and go from their holy sites freely... The only reason there is fighting is because the people in charge in the Muslim communities are trying to get more power, and they're using religion to get it. As for the U.N. stuff... Go watch Black Hawk Down... (the U.N. troops refused to let more than the "maximum recommended occupancy" to ride in their APCs, even though it was live fire combat) I knew the family of one of the guys that died in that mission... The U.N. troops don't care about others in the warzones they occupy, only themselves.
  3. Living in a run down trailer with an overweight alcoholic wife, 3 kids and a pick-up truck? What does that have to do with guns?
  4. And get good thermal compound for your CPU! The stuff you get with the CPU will work for about 4 months, then you'd get better results from mayonaise... Try getting Prolimatech PK-1 or better...
  5. The UN is crap... They can't defend shit, and their soldiers don't care about any of their missions, only themselves.
  6. You really should give it a try... Some shooting ranges have rentable guns. There's no feeling quite like holding that kind of power in your hands.
  7. In many respects I would agree, but in others I thoroughly disagree... Many recreational drugs are addictive physically, meaning they cause your body to require the drug to continue to function properly, and those should always be banned. The ones that do not do this should be allowed, though with some regulation. (people shouldn't be allowed to give their 3 year old marijuana nuggets, etc.)
  8. The problem people get into with destroying hardware by touching them is caused by static electricity... If you ground yourself and your components to the computer case you're putting the components in, you shouldn't have any problems. I highly recommend building it yourself, and buying from Newegg or TigerDirect.
  9. You say "other hardware", do you have any evidence that AMD CPUs are less stable than Intel's (their 5ghz monster non withstanding, that strikes even me as nuts)? And I don't mean anecdotal evidence, but some statistical report where many samples were tested? Assuming fans are running properly and there's no overclocking, CPUs are usually the last thing to go on a system. I worked on a lot of systems when I had a job as a technician and cases where the CPU was actually at fault (from either manufacturer) were incredibly rare. As for GPUs, I had read the Origin report that AMD GPUs failed about 3% more than Nvidia ones and they had driver issues. I haven't used their drivers in a long time however, so my information on that may be outdated. I don't have any statistics based records for normal operations, only a few small-sample observations of improper or failed cooling systems. AMD has issues with their temperature sensors, and I have yet to see any evidence that this has changed. Could you clarify / provide some benchmarks to this? Like an example where no AA in a game between competing cards is comparable, but then the same game Nvidia pulls ahead with AA on? I'm not saying you're wrong, but I hadn't heard this before. Also, what kind of AA, MSAA, SGSSAA, or shader-based? If you're saying MLAA v. FXAA, that's kind of moot point since AMD can run FXAA as well via injector. I don't have any benchmarks right now, and because of my current situation (saving money for getting an apartment, borrowing internet access, etc.) I don't have the time to search for them... I did see one a while back, but never bookmarked it. The type of AA is MSAA and SSAA, nothing shader based. Shader based AA is easy for almost any video card nowadays... (I prefer SMAA over the rest, but I know of nobody that has updated it in over a year)
  10. True equality is hard to do... I know that many aren't equal to me, and I am not equal to many others.
  11. Yeah, the newer versions (M16A4 etc.) have gotten rid of the vast majority of the problems they used to have, but they still aren't anywhere near as reliable as thew AK47. (I'd like to see you fire an M16 with any significant amount of rust on/in it)
  12. Feminism is the idea that women are better than men... Never been any different.
  13. I'm interested in finding out how people that feel extremely offended by the change react to those that couldn't care less about it.
  14. And you're free to have them regardless of whether they are founded or not.
  15. I honestly don't give a shit... Sorry.
  16. I can print a thousand remote controls for $1500 in my home right now... Less than a decade to get advanced 3d printing online for a lot cheaper, and no more than 25 years before we have people printing edible (if you're really hungry) food. I'd say 2090 at an extreme outside for full Star Trek replicators unless companies decide to actively prevent development. (I wouldn't put it past them)
  17. I know of a few people working on that right now, and I'm working on the science of Star Trek level replicators based on their printing techniques...
  18. Not even close comparing Minecraft and Terraria...
  19. Wasteland 1
  20. I hate this life too, but I'm not fond of ending it before it has a chance to change. As for the impacts, why is it so hard to believe that asteroids are likely to hit Earth? I've been hearing all my life that stuff the size of basketballs hits us about once every second...
  21. It is a difficulty... Then again, maybe just tilting the table of chance slightly is all that is possible...
  22. Ok, on to the civilized discussion... How would we have sex with them?
  23. Go watch Futurama.
  24. If I had the money, I would have tried a Glock as well... Unemployment generally makes spending $900+ on a handgun infeasible. (I payed $600 for my Ruger, and it's better than the Glock/SIG version according to all the reviews I've read) Yes, most military guys get the SIGs and a few get Glocks, but that's mainly because the companies have government contracts making them extremely cheap, and because the Glocks and SIGs available to the military are different from the civilian guns with the same name. (Ruger doesn't have any government contracts, and they only produce civilian guns) Yes, I conceal carry. I also open carry when I'm out and about. (I don't have a concealed holster yet, so I just stick it in a pocket)
