  1. Fallout: New Vegas

With my own custom mod that added the FN Five-seveN with realistic perfomance. (not like the other mods that either make it way too powerful, or completely ignore the fact that the basic 5.7mm round has a bit of an AP quality to it)

  2. Reading all this made me realize... nowadays I care more about the personality of a woman character and less about what she has on (or hasn't). Dammit Jim, I though I will never grow up!

Still, I don't mind staring at girls in games. If I get offended by their clothes, it's because I know that bloody chainmail bikini will seriously not protect you.

Welcome to the world of "I'm not a teenage moron anymore!".

I'll sit there and joke about boobs, but when you can tell a girl that just got offended by a complement about her boob size "You have large boobs.", and get away with it without her taking offense... Try it sometime, it's a great determining factor in whether you're adult or not.

  3. MY PEOPLE ARE IDIOTS!!!

How do Americans feel about an American opinion?

We somehow managed to get someone who had lied about virtually everything all the way through his campaign into the Presidency, and then allowed him to pass an unconstitutional bill, and try to censor everything we see or hear.

Show me where that doesn't paint Americans in general as idiots.

  4. If you're thinking of gaming, I would highly suggest getting one of the newer Seagate 1TB/platter hard drives. They beat out all but 180 of the best SSDs in existence for about $0.10/GB.
I haven't looked into those, but unless it's a hybrid drive, I can't imagine them coming to close to SSDs in terms of random writes and reads, which really is the biggest bottleneck of mechanical drives anyway.

Mine performs at only about 5x the seek time of a high-end SSD for randoms, but nearly matches the transfer rate.

Of course, if you keep your drive defragged, the effect of random read/write gets almost completely negated.

  5. If you own a Gateway FX model, you may know about this:

My particular model has an interesting feature: there's a compartment for you to slot in extra hard drives. The way this works is that you put the hard drives on these plastic carrier-things, and then you push them into slots. Basically, it allows you to put in extra hard drives without having to open up the case, which is neat, but it seems like something that could have been invented years ago.

Been around since the 80's... They used to use it frequently for SAS drives for corporate mainframes/servers.

  6. Yeah, OS and video/sound editing programs benefit immensely, but games only moderately.

I actually recommend the Mushkin brand Chronos drives... About $1/GB and you can go as high as 480GB, or get a 128 and have one of the 15 highest performing drives out there.

  7. I would be unable to attend due to being 'property of the US government' for the next 2-3 months, and living in Utah, then Colorado, then hopefully Texas. (not that I like Texas, but it has loads of single women, and a thriving computer industry)

After I get a sufficient supply of currency, you can easily count me in. Heck, if I get my business up and going down in Texas fast enough, I could probly afford to fund the entire event...

  8. The image broadcast into Srake's mind of BTG disappearing apparently works since he poses, thinking he triumphed. BTG reappears behind Srake with a syringe filled with Propofol, and injects him. After he is anesthetized, BTG hogties him, and covers him with enough honey to get all the ants off his picnic, then resumes eating and drinking.
