Ctrl-X, Ctrl-V, go back and Shift-Del the originating files. Takes me all of 10 seconds if I'm going slow. Even maintains folder trees without issue. You're really not well versed in GUI capabilities or current functionality if you think that it doesn't have the ability to do stuff like that. That's what a GUI is supposed to be. It's basically just mouse gestures and clicks to perform functions that you would otherwise have to type. If it's not doing that, there's something very seriously wrong with your GUI design, since that's been how it works since the first ever GUI. It has many merits, but so many pitfalls that it's never in any situation going to become the primary UI for a majority of users. It will always be an extremely small minority that prefer it to GUI. The CLI will not be lost, no matter what. Even MacOS and Windows 10 have a CLI in them, but it's never used as the primary interface because it's slower to type text than it is to click thrice and move the cursor around the screen for a second or two for the vast majority of people, even those with fast typing speeds.

Ross, I know some other responses point out that browsers are giving issues with the copy/paste function, but I personally resolved the issue 100% when I got my new keyboard. Don't ask me how it resolved the mouse click menu copy function, but it fixed that too. Maybe it's because I got a keyboard that has software that can change the USB polling rate to 1000 times per second instead of the standard of 125, (kinda like my mouse) and it affects how Windows interacts with everything, I don't know. As for your final questions, I personally really loved the Vista default look in transparent black/grey. (apart from some slightly too low contrast text, but you could change that quite easily with utilities built into Windows at the time) I loathe the push towards a flat UI like they did in 10. (3D is far superior, as our brains were designed to operate in that environment) Physical buttons for this are always going to be far more natural as well, and I really like the idea of the nested icon wheel coming up on the desktop. It's like the weapon/item wheel that you'll see in a lot of modern shooter games. We do need the ability to have the "helicopter" style GUI system though, as it can be incredibly useful, and is definitely not a problem for the majority of people, and for most twitch-shooter gamers, it's not difficult to get those "headshots" on those smaller icons/checkboxes when doing faster movements. (something I find remarkably easy to do the vast majority of the time considering how many typos I need to fix when typing)

Congrats, but 32GB of RAM is major overkill with that CPU and GPU. I personally would've saved money on the RAM and gotten a 2060 KO instead of the 1660 TI along with only 16GB of RAM. (I also would've gone for AMD CPU though, as it's less expensive for the same performance, but that's me)

I'm not directly affecting their bottom line, but I am supporting them with word of mouth advertising, and later on with direct financial support when I have the funds available to do so. I played Fallout 4 pirated for years before ever buying it. I was waiting for the GOTY edition to buy, and I did buy as soon as the GOTY was available. I want to support devs that make games/software/music/movies I enjoy, so they can make more of them... That's a really strong reason IMO, and that of all the major release groups in the pirating community. If you're not going to ever buy it, then you already know you're never going to enjoy it... Why pirate it at all? I even buy OLD games that I pirated 18 years ago when they're available on Steam or GOG. (like I did with the Avernum series from Spiderweb Software because I pirated the Exile series that was the original version of those games, as well as two of the original Avernum trilogy) Steam refunds definitely doesn't wait long enough for me to determine if it's only good for the first little bit, then a boring slog for the last 3/4ths of the game. And why should I risk any amount of money for a game I'm unsure about? Once I am sure, I will always buy though, even if it takes a decade or two to get around to it.

Another awesome addition to my system... A GMMK keyboard with Kailh Pro Purple switches and 40A thick o-rings. (I also got the Kailh Speed Silver, but decided to start with the Purple because they felt like they'd be better for typing, and they definitely are) My KPM has gotten much faster with this keyboard, and I'm making far fewer typos. (though just as many "I should say this a different way" mistakes that I have to correct, as that's a brain related issue, not hardware) I may end up putting down some stories now that have been roaming in my head for decades... I have a keyboard that makes me want to keep typing, for the first time ever.

I pirate to know if they're worth buying, and have said so on many occasions. I'm up to about 70% purchased of whatever I've pirated right now. (that includes movies and music) I was in that boat for a good long time, until I got my new PC.

Considering I've spent close to $15k on games, that shouldn't be so surprising. I did, that's why I have a PC that can run the game in 4k at ultra settings with 245 mods, and still get 48 FPS. (if I run it at 1080p native resolution, it gets CPU bottlenecked at 78 FPS because of the mods)
